That would have been a good bet to have a quid on.

Pretty sure I know why, Neil Warnock spotted at Atherton Collieries training ground, much bigger club than Borer...

Blunderland and Borer seem to be doing well as the moment but the Toon seem to be in the mire although recent performances have improved. Tonights clash at the former "Sports Direct Arena" with Man Utd is going to be an interesting encounter.
Prediction 0-2 with "you know who" getting a brace.

Boro seem decent, they have a good manager in Wilder who works well with their current squad as well. Have a strong feeling the mackems will blow it. Mags are dead in the water.

But forget about them lot, enjoyed Newcastle Benfield 2 West Allotment Celtic 3 yesterday and Thornaby 4 Redcar Athletic 0 this morning. Christmas time football, shocking I know. I'm sure it's making Jurgen Klopp have a breakdown as we speak.

Before all this covid i used to occasionally watch non league where there was an ex pools player in the team. Added a bit of interest.
Very enjoyable and the catering was normally better than pools.

Dimi was at Thornaby recently, but left and came back to us. Think he still does some coaching there though.

Lots of poor crowds down south over xmas.
Read on anutha NE message board how well all our clubs were supported even mentioned how good that hpool took over a thousand fans to Mansfield.
4000 Mackems at Donny.
50000 at the Mags
30000 at the Boro
1200 at Marske
2400 at Spennymoor.
We are a special breed.
Hope Raj does whats needed in January to maintain our incredible support.

With the restructure and a change in attitudes regarding promotion let's hope things will change. Hopefully someday the likes of South Shields, Gateshead, Spennymoor and maybe even the loids can join the EFL. All while the likes of Forest Green and MK Dons are kicking a ball on a muddy field at step 6.

Step 6 is far too high for those two. A non green housing estate to be built on the formers ground and a waste site used for the second with an incinerator.

Pools just need a bit of spark again, as proved again on Boxing day fans will travel in large numbers, unfortunately we will lose this if things carry on as they are.

Delayed till season after next.
The mackems in turmoil after loseing to bottom team Donny in front of 38000 fans. Can see them being stuck in league One for a while.

there must be something drastically wrong there. not too long ago they were flying but a 6 nil away defeat then a home defeat against a side who shipped 5 goals in a home match a few says back manage to beat them.

Mitchell played for Donny btw. Makes you wonder whether he got a fair crack of the whip at Pools - though Killip's saves in the second half against Palace kept the score respectable.

think that nightmare performance at leyton orient finished him as a pools player. did have a few games but another who did not inspire me with confidence in them.

After the 0-5 home defeat by Rotherham a supporter on the Donny Forum posted ,"Mitchell is shocking!"

He was clearly at fault for two of the goals. One sailed in direct from a corner -if that had been Killip we'd still be hearing about it- and for the other a passback was played to him, the nearest Rotherham player was a good 15 yards away, but still managed to charge the ball down and a goal followed.
No, I'm not a Killip fan, but Mitchell less so.

Cant wait to see the new GK we have perform. Hoping he gets some game time tuesday. Looks a presence and is certainly a big lad. Heaps of reward for him from the u23 setup so looks to be a good signing again by spike.

And the Geordies have probably bought their way to safety. The current bottom three in the Prem all looks miles away from what's needed to survive. Unless Sean Dyche can turn things around yet again.

League two play off final saturday 28 May.
Championship final sunday 29 May.
Trafalgar Square could be bouncing with over 50000 Cleveland fans in the capital.
Maybe a few Palace fans join the party.
Would be awesome.

Nah, too late for that now. But if they keep their squad they'll probably do well next season.

Gateshead to win league and Brackley to win playoffs.
