Any team with problems up front and in goal is not a competitive squad.

the mention of how many players DC missed out on for one reason or another should have been made. really doubt any of these signings were close on being his first choices. even douglas bader would not have signed fondop for a start if there was anyone else available.

Couldn't agree more, which is why I think we still need a couple of quality signings to be certain of avoiding relegation, rather than relying on Oldham and Scunthorpe to carry on being pish till the end of the season.

Oldham and Scunthorpe have at least strengthened and still doing so with league players and some experienced ones - us however are in the bargain basement again. Still few days left we will see

and stevenage signed 4 of these also. they must have been bloody bad then before they signed these players as their side was worse than pools. possibly these players being signed by these clubs are of a similar ilk to those challinor summer signings who were signed as being the best of a bad job. we do not want any signings who are no better than we have already just for the sake of it.

Totally agree Accrington. That’s what I said a few days ago when someone said Stevenage had signed four league players.

thankfully Pools have shown that our squad does have depth (Ala Charlton game for example). We just need to get 1 or 2 more attacking players in and find the best formation for our best 11 - we have one of the best footballing teams in the league who can keep and play neat football - however what we lack is that cutting edge and lethal striker. Like Raj said lets not just sign pesh for the sake of it - been bitten by that one already, hence i think our lack of signings
