Blackpool look like a team very short on confidence. The lad Hamilton, his body language was very telling.

Speechless WOW ! 2 cup wins against 2 good teams. Who’d have thought it this time 3 months ago we would be putting teams away like that at the Vic. Absolutely buzzing.

Under the cosh for alot of the game and once that first goal went in i was dreading the afternoon. Atmosphere went up a notch just before our goal and i can say the 12th man got us through that game again. Class act from all involved.

Crawfs was class again. He has to start league games.
Cullen was a cart horse and needs replacing sooner rather than later. Mols was decent enough considering who he was up against and young grey did what was asked of him. Class again from the lads to keep going. Holohan also changed our dynamic a little too was good to see him on one of his better days again.
Killip needs gone. Asap !
Lidds solid at the back again. Few dodgy passes like.
Feaths and sterry just were not at the races today. God knows whats happened to them 2.

Prem team away please for a big cash pay day

Ahh didnt know that. Fair play to him then.
Hope he hasnt done anymore damage for the league games coming up. No excuses now for that team to not put points on the board after these performances

Great second half performance made Blackpool look dire. First half we gave them way too much respect. Hope that tells lee something when were positive we are a good team on our day.

Forgot to mention Mr Fondops absolutely woeful pass to their keeper at the end. Is that what he really has in his locker, his ability to not even shoot at the keeper. His carthorse useless self couldnt even kick the ball by time he got to the keeper. Mans a sorry excuse for a footballer

Thank goodness our luck did not desert us in the first half when we could have been three down! How we can keep turning over higher league teams and fail to beat the likes of Oldham defeats me but cup runs are great for morale and we are due a big name draw in round 4. UTP

It was a brilliant game to be at and a brilliant atmosphere. Bit worried though that there were less than 5,000 Poolies in (and over a thousand Blackpool fans). After the win against Bolton on Tuesday night I thought the ground would have been packed out for another cup tie.

Hope people watching for nowt on a screen isn't becoming a factor. Fair enough for anyone who had no chance of being at the game, but if you could have been there you really should have been.

Holohan's second half performance was a big reason the game turned around - he was different class in midfield after a quiet first half. Or maybe I jut didn't notice him as much on the far side of the ground!

Not going to criticise any of the outfield performers for their efforts today - they all put in a massive shift otherwise we wouldn't have got the result. Not much went right for Molyneux but he never stopped running. Quite a few were out on their feet at the end. As for the goalkeeper - dodgy as, per usual.

Like most people I had the impression Pools were overrun for a lot of the game but the stats on the BBC are interesting - Pools had 48% of the play, 9 shots to 10 by Blackpool and 6 on target to Blackpool's 4!

time for a bit of history ......prior to today..... in the 114 years since 1908....we had only ever reached the 4th round of the F.A cup on six occasions....all resulting in us exiting the competition....

1955......pools v notts forest...home...1-1...lost replay 2-1
1978......pools v ipswich town....away... lost 4-1
1989......pools v bournemouth....away ...lost 5-2
1993......pools v sheffield united...away...lost 1-0
2005......pools v brentford....home..0-0....lost replay 1-0
2009......pools v west ham united....home...lost 2-0

...could 2022 be when we make it through to the 5th round....for the first time ever ?...its time for the dreaming ....and the praying....to begin yet again... :eusa-pray:

Some performance by Barrow. 2-0 down away to Barnsley and a player sent off. It's now 4-4

Hope I wasn't too unkind on Facebook....

A quick note to my Newcastle United and Sunderland supporting friends;
If you want to watch a local FA Cup 4th round game you'll need to go to Hartlepool for a ticket.

Hope that helps....

Knowing our luck it will be Boreham Wood away and get beat! Never mind the next round, I'm going to be enjoying this evening. I'll bet there'll be some pints supped in the town tonight. UTP.

That 2nd half was some performance I have to say, everyone of them put an absolute shift in. It had determination, fight, grit and a lot of quality (apart from fondop). Thought Ferguson, lidds and holohan were unreal second half closely followed by Crawford but the rest were magnificent as well. Just a shame more weren't there to see it. Got be our time for a decent draw for a change!! Also heard carver is signed and 2 more are joining Monday, if it's true of course.

It was a very large 5000 crowd, did a few go missing because we share the proceeds? Wasn't many empty spaces. Brilliant second half from us hope spike has us playing like that more often, outclassed a championship side for a good half hour.

It's quite freaky watching Mark Chapman, Dion Dublin & Danny Murphy chatting about us on MOTD, also a short interview with Joe Grey.

Tv money
Winable game.
Nice little earner.
Do Southport have a decent goalkeeper.

Boro....? Are you serious?
When it comes to an away day pay day forget them. Their fans will sort of turn out for the BIG clubs, but are notorious for being ‘can’t be arsed’ for lower league clubs, but God knows why.

Boro away would be awful. A team we play literally every year at a ground many of us will have been to.

I'd honestly rather take Cambridge away.

I'd happily have Man U, Everton, Arsenal or Spurs (especially away) either home or away.

If we have to have a shite draw, like Poolie1 says, Kiddy at home.

Please oh please I hope this draw doesn't involve Boreham Wood, Cambridge, Middlesbrough or Luton/Harrogate.

Spot on. I remember when we played them in the League Cup in 1986, only weeks after Pools had saved their bacon by letting them play their first league game at the Vic because they were locked out of Ayresome Park. Despite all the guff in the local press about being eternally grateful, only 7,700 turned up for the cup game at Ayresome.
It felt like a lot less than that, all the atmosphere of a morgue.

I'd be happy with a home game against a League 1 or Championship side. Pools have never made it to the 5th Round - now would be a great time to do it.

Cambridge United at the Vic, to show the Geordies up?

There are a lot of unfanciable fixtures as you read down the list and only a few great picks. The draw is mostly a huge anticlimax. Plymouth away anyone.

the cups all about the money for pools. a televised home game against anyone would do and if not the one away that would have the largest gate.

Boro v pools certainly wouldn't be a poor crowd for starters we would seem out 5000 to 6000 or whatever they basically give us, I'd be shocked if they didn't get 25000 to 30000.

Someone like Barnsley at home a team in freefall, might as well get a game we think we have a chance in. No doubt we will get a shocker though.

its a case of how we individually see the cup. there will be some like me who would not mind a quick exit making as much money on the way whilst others want us to remain in it as long as possible.

its a case of how we individually see the cup. there will be some like me who would not mind a quick exit making as much money on the way whilst others want us to remain in it as long as possible.

Well we won't be in it for too much longer unless we fancy getting to the quarters. One more win it would be nice though. My sentiment is if the money or some of it was going back into the team great, I've not seen that so far through promotion. Then getting embarrassed or mauled at Chelsea be fun for 10 to 15 minutes. I'd love us to be at home with a chance though of progression, anyone at home lower championship we would have a chance.
