'Big Ann' was very well known around the town by those of a certain age and younger. Sadly she has passed away today and will be missed.

Not a lady to be messed with in her younger days as many unconscious blokes will testify but a kinder, wiser woman you couldn't find. I feel privileged to have known her.

RIP Ann, you're a legend. Xxx

Ann was my neighbour in Laburnum Street. She was a great person and I will miss her deeply.

Got to know her when Mum n Dad had the North Eastern hotel in Lynn street in the sixties. Her and her partner Marcia were regulars in there. A wonderful person who you definitely didn't mess with!
