Colchester have only scored 16 goals in 20 games. Get beaten here and the nightmares of playing in the NL will return.

0-0 draw.

1-0 to the Essex boys probably from a defensive lapse.

I feel of we win it is more luck, then tactical decisions. But I'll take anything at the minute, Jan transfer window will be interesting, let's see who we are allowed to bring in. 2..2.

Awful scoreless draw.

League then postpones all matches and the January transfer window due to pandemic.

Do any of your older bunkerites remember years ago (1976) when Pools signed one Paul Bielby from Manure? Shortly at Colchester he scored twice. Result Colchester Utd 6 Pools 2. A chant was born that lasted for years and went something like "We hate Colchester U cause they beat us 6-2. We hate York City shitty f*****g City. Who we are... then it died. This saturday? Colchester U 1 Pools O. The war drums beat again. We need the hooligan back on form.

colchester 1 pools nil. no shots on goal with a defensive cock up allowing a miss hit shot to creap over the line. match highlights over 10 minutes concentrating on all the throw ins.

Not surprising when you read that 25% of EFL players aren't vaccinated at all.

There's thick, really thick and professional footballers...

Do the daft twats not realize it's ther and their team mates livelyhoods they could be putting at risk, especially in lower league's.

Not to be vaccinated is crazy, especially in a team sport..if you're vaccinated and get it unlucky.

I would imagine the Mansfield game could be at risk, considering 10 days are needed? Hope who's got it are not to ill with it.

If they're vaccinated, should only be mild for them hopefully.

does anyone know if thats the complete truth anyway. why would pools or any other club give out personal health information about any player on their books. i believe sod all nowadays from the media as usually they have a hidden agenda behind everything.

Suit yourself, but it's an official EFL statement after consulting with all their clubs:

Players out on their Christmas party in Newcastle across Saturday & Sunday - daily testing implemented across FL yesterday - this was inevitable.

An early decision or indication re Mansfield would certainly be ideal.

Postponing the season just kicks the can down the road to a later date. Hopefully if the club’s players all catch now it’ll allow for less matches being called off in Jan.

Albeit probably with no fans in the stadiums to watch…

Probably be a Football Lockdown till February.
By that time the ramped up vaccinations should of kicked in.
Or do more new variants kick in and PPG becomes applicable.

ALLY PALLY darts Variant on its way.
Then the ASHES cricket.
Unless you have a medical condition then it should be mandatory to take the vaccines.
Time for the Government to man up.

Read that ...is he for real, says the media ‘harassment’ is affecting the health of his family, ...... but not as much as Covid will though.

Outbreak of Covid in the Pools squad.
Imagine Mansfield off as well

Genuine or a tactical move to play these fixtures with our new incoming Star Signings

That makes no sense whatsoever, if told by a top cardiac specialist it’s absolutely nothing to do with Covid why perpetuate the bloody myth
On top of which, what explains the greater number of deaths before Covid? Explain that one.....?
Covid jabs are used as a convenient peg to hang every one horse occurrence that appears now by the angry conspiracy demented bulging eye brigade.
Seems players are acting like a bunch of gossiping nana’s, except Ooops, nana’s are wise enough to get vaccinated.

The number of caffeine supplements and energy drinks players take now must be a big factor. Plus the time lost to Covid has meant trying to condense games over a much shorter period.

approx. 430 people died of cancer last wednesday. that was not the main media headline. all this needs to be put into proportion. still only one death from the mandela strain and they have been quiet about the age, medical condition and even if it was with or because of covid. still no cases of this being serious or hospital admissions going up. could be a way to stall on any more restrictions by scaring the population out of its wits more than last time to do their own so called lockdown without being told to do so.

On footballers.

If not for drug tests, they'd most likely be pumping all sorts into their veins, eating all kinds of weird foods and smoking god knows what after the match.

Yet they won't get a jab?

Fear not....I had a dream where DC after ‘parting company’ with Stockport joined Darlo, got them promoted into the league and suddenly left overnight to join Dukinfield Wednesday. Strange dream.

"Bournemouth's fans were faced with a 636-mile round trip for the lunchtime kick-off, with supporters' coaches having left the Vitality Stadium at 03:00 GMT." - BBC Sport. The EFL management don't appear to care about supporters

EFL on quest whinging about player welfare, guess what? They didn't get vaxxed!!! And there's only been an increase in player cases now testing is more mandatory.

Don't expect footie games around Christmas involving any English club. Very obvious the narrative teams, players and the media want to pursue.

can see that happening unless the financial aspect comes to the fore. teams that have 2 home games over this period will have some of their highest gates of the season plus the add ons from this only to replace em by lower attended mid week games.

With the introduction of daily testing, now finding many more cases, how many cases have gone through teams without being found? Maybe this increase is due to Omicron being so infectious and coincidental to the timing of the testing increase. Either way, these are young fit guys and until one of them dies this isn’t their concern. At least now they will have more natural T cell defences, even Dr Facebook recognises that one.
