Looking at the National league table there’s some competition for that automatic place......

Dave Challinor upon signing for Harrogate

"It's a club with a great following and lots of atmosphere at home games".

...I don't think anyone could do a lie that heinous actually.

We can’t move on just yet. We are waiting for an opportunity to go on their board and congratulate them on another season in the National League. If they get promoted good luck to them and DC but if not they’ll understand if we aren’t too sympathetic.

Couldn't care less about Stockport. It'd be great to see them back in the Football League - under their next manager.

Their ‘next’ manager ....yes.
The present manager...... consolidating their position as an established National League stalwart.

My only interest is to see them stay where they are but if they do manage to get promoted it won't bother me. A chance to take six points from our games with them would be sweet, especially if we actually achieved that scenario, and double especially if our second win sent them down.
Other than that I couldn't care less.

As have many said before its a hell of a tough league to get out of.
My thoughts are that DCs decision was mainly non football related.
I would like to see Chesterfield,Halifax or Grimsby escape and NL2 would feel like the old 4th division again.

Forest Green gets me, the prime example of someone creating something from absolutely nothing.
I can see it if you’re starting up in an urban area distant from competing clubs, but going into the back woods and fail to realise you need a fan base is a bit on the naive side.

Especially conceding 5 goals against Oldham who had only scored 16 goals in their previous 20 league games.

Recently went to the Cotswolds on holiday and visited FGR ground and it was superb, however is on the edge of a tiny village with very little parking facilities. There does not appear to be much of a fan base apart from the cattle and sheep. A rich mans plaything but for how long but do think the vegetarian angle is a unique selling point abd could help save them if he were no longer interested.

they only bother me because my lad supports em which is miles better than changing his premier league club every couple of seasons if they fail to win it. meet up with him there occasionally and do not mind the experiance.

Not sure Lisa Simpson would be interested in purchasing a League Two "socc.er team" if Forest Green's owner fecks off

Theoretically you could end up with a league of hobby clubs with crowds of 1200 on a good day...... the dozy rich sods think fans are an irrelevance when actually, they are the game.

Potter Heigham would be a belter, half a dozen houses, a boat hire yard and the big store that sells everything you need on a boat. Mind you, the only sport there is watching boats get jammed under the old bridge...a right windswept hole.

Whats baffled me is the fact there are not alot more of these so called 'Sugar daddy play toy clubs' arising from no where in London and its surrounding boroughs ?

is there too much steeped history with whats already there or do the big clubs grab the masses forcing even the richest of men to not bother and keep their money tucked away on their sunseaker yachts. Strange how it has the most millionaires per Sqmile over any other city in probably Europe yet there isnt more teams like 'Chelsea' coming about.

Potter Heigham and all along that area between Yarmouth & Cromer bring back happy memories of when I lived and worked in Norfolk between 75-85.

A real problem with new clubs in London is simply finding a ground. Land is unobtainable to nearly everyone and you can only renovate a ground so many times before running out of space. It'd be difficult to get a place like Barnet or Dagenham's ground truly premier league standard.

Granted Wimbledon somehow did it so who knows (even though it destroyed them in the process)

Pretty bad result for them considering the top 7 all won as well.
That league looks tough as fuck this year

And only one goes up automatically...tight odds there for Stopcock. The whole league is so utterly unpredictable, getting out is like trying to get the QE2 through the lock gates at the Marina.

Last week they were going to not only go up but win league 2 next year, oh dear. The away form striking at Stockport is it? similar to what happened here.

Not to worry they are going to buy more players now after Saturday.

They can have Featherstone for 1 mill and Sterry for 3. We will then also give them the Mighty Fondop Talom for free

They’ll need a warehouse to store them in!
If they lose their next match will they have to buy yet even more players still?

Been told Holohan will be at Wrexham or Stockport in January, presuming the season is still in full flow at that point (pending Covid halting anything)

I don't know what's less likely, two minted non league clubs paying real money for a below average, soon to be 30 midfielder or a lockdown over a variant that's no more fatal than bogstandard covid.

And seems to injured a hell of a lot these days.
As for Stockport, I'm quite interested to see how it works out for Challinor.
Hopefully,he fails miserably.

i really cant see Holohan been top of any money bags NL teams wish list in Jan. He really hasnt had the start to the season we had all wished. Even DC was dropping him. Plus the fact as stated previously hes becoming quite injury prone. If we can get a fee for him then they are welcome, use the money for a long term Liddle replacement. Which will be the next thing for Pools to seriously consider.

there are potentially better players plying their trade in the NLN.

as for Halifax they can thank the form of Billy Waters for that - somehow i dont think he will be at Halifax much longer. League bound come the summer and i can only wish it was for us.

holohan is hardly a billy walters or that kyle wootton lad at notts county who portsmouth are looking at. anyone signing him would be taking a giant gamble as his form is up and down even when he is free from injury. same last season as well when he was actually scoring.

Do we really overrate some of the players we have, some may be world famous at the Vic, but I suspect there’s no list of prospective buyers queueing with offers.
Watch someone come in with an offer

fans have always overated some and underate others at pools and everywhere else. over the years i have had what can be described as a strong didcussion with others about certain players at games. why some are put in both catogaries can be beyond me at times.
