There’s a job in hand now, the Swindon result could be pivotal.

Not at the game but from what I have read during and after the game today, Forest Green gave us a football lesson. I cant see us bouncing from such a demoralizing stuffing especially against quality opposition who are in good form.

Some years ago I remember watching Pools get trounced by Leicester at home in I think L1. Leicester were a different class and were clearly in the wrong division. I watched the game today and it put me in mind of that game. FGR were a League 1 club playing well against an average L2 Pools performance.

Easily the best team I’ve seen us come up against this season and that includes Wycombe. We couldn’t get near them when they had the ball and they never gave us a moments peace when we had it.

If we get three points from FGR, Swindon & PV I'd be very happy.
Two would be good but I'm expecting non.

Another goal conceded from a corner, that's Sutton, Bradford, Newport, FGR. probably more than that actually. If we can't defend from set pieces then we'll always struggle. FGR were a very good team to be fair but we were terrible, second best all over the pitch.

Not as much of a problem as Scunthorpe, Carlisle or Oldham or indeed a few others.

(You're correct - none).

We’d be losing ‘altitude’.

Chairman has said the budget is there for more signings in January. Hopefully we can get a manager in the next 10 days so he can weigh up the squad before then.

One thing we can’t afford to do is stand like a rabbit in the eadligts, the next couple of results should give us an indication of where we need to act. That said, preparatory movement behind the scenes should be fluid to act quickly to events.

think its more of a case of putting in decent performances at swindon and vale even if zero points are gained. the next two home games look winnable and its games like these that will lead us to safety. a defeat by scunthorpe would be a sickener and may see a real dip in form and league position.

but why in the later stages of the game was there any need to resort to time wasting and other shithouse behavior. them and the ref actually got the crowd going and not pools themselves. hate the green kale eating buggers more than any other club and i knew what was in store for us yesterday.

Second half we seemed to be better but where always going to be against a side who just needed to keep it 3-0. They did their homework on us and ferguson was made to look poor in the first half. Midfield went missing. Feaths really shows his lack of depth now against better sides. Shelton needs replacing full stop. Daly didnt have a good game by his standards but then again we seemed so small compared to them. No real threat in the box at all which we have been saying all season. Desperate for a goal scoring midfielder. Just bad day at the office against the league winners for me. Wasnt going to be pretty and it proved yesterday. Grey should of been brought on earlier too.

true, but pools have a few winnable games in december that could take the pressure off or put more on depending the outcome of them.
