Remember going there years ago and what an awful ground it was.

No reason for optimism. Sweens seemed decidedly peed off with the whole issue in his post match interview so I cant see how he will lift the players for a very tough fixture. 4-0 to Vale.

1-1. Pools were in the game for 70 minutes at Swindon. Sweeney was rightly pissed off with some inept defending, but Pools have a goal threat too.

How many times have we given away poor goals in the last four league games? Our defence is pish poor. Because we will always concede at least two goals, that puts pressure on our limited ability to score goals in order to pick up points. We are dropping like a stone.

3-0.......you dont need to be nostradamus......covolan deals comfortably with anything put his way but killip doesn't ....nailed on one of the following score....brad walker.. ryan johnson... lewis cass ...or dan jones....and at least two goals conceded are as a result of crosses into our box....

May I add that Pools will not score from a corner.

optimistic about this one with pools only losing 2-1. two poor sides at the moment where both have not won a game since their round 1 cup success.

awful ground. where have you been for the last few seasons. the away end is great and its a pity this game wasn,t being played a few weeks back as i doubt many will be in a rush now to get down there. i certainly have changed my mind about going.

sorry! currently we can not keep a clean sheet and do not score enough goals and Club is lacking a bit of stability the moment with no Manager and I think it is showing in the players performance. I see only a 2-1 defeat and bound to have one of the ex poolies on vales books score against us ☹

You missed Devante Rodney. Cass and Jones played on Tuesday night, Rodney came on at half time, Walker was an unused sub. Johnson wasn't in the match day squad and may still be out injured from the looks of things.

Time we started acting like a football league club, rolled up our sleeves and got a result. Otherwise we will be in a relegation battle.

Yeh i forgot how many of our ex players currently ply their trade at Vale. Plus that absolute helmet Ex Torquay keeper. Who by the way is a very good keeper.

its nailed on that an ex poolie will ruin our day - can see this being another 2-1 home win where exactly stated before ..... we loose to a shitty cross into the box which isnt dealt with !

Cullen or Daly with the goal for us - Mols missing a few chances too.

Lets Hope we can get a result at Lincoln eh

If it is windy our ability to deal with crosses will be further compromised. With the ball swirling around unpredictably Killip's bowels will be collapsing even more. It is demoralizing to even think of it. Vale could get double figures.

or with pools luck the wind or gale will change direction at half time to vale,s preferance. killip and a swerling wind is more worrying than unprotected sex with a rough prossie.

We continue to play like a team assembled from the parts bin, disjointed, a bit like the team met for the first time the morning before the match.

I'd have Mitchell in today, seems a lot more confident coming for crosses and that could be handy today!. I'd happily take a point to stop the rot so I'm going with 1-¹ due to them missing a few players today.

Can’t see it, the daughters down in Derbyshire and said it’s nice down there.
Mind you, the wether has nasty habit of kicking you where it hurts when you least expect it.

Have to say credit to Port Vale for going all the lengths to make sure today goes ahead. A lot of clubs could learn from that attitude.

It's cold and windy down here in Doncaster but nothing to call a game off, not half as bad as it appears to be in Hartlepool. It's actually started to ease off a bit.

Eased off here in West Durham as well. Seems all the damage was done overnight

Brad Walker, Ryan Johnson and Devante Rodney all starting for Port Vale. That increases the chances of an old boy scoring against Pools quite a bit!

I'm listening to Radio Tees online and they've given up on live coverage of the game at Port Vale. The Boro game will be online and on DAB because they're off air on FM because of the storm last night. Might have to spend 2.50 to listen to the iFollow Pools coverage.
