Would just like to remind you that Hartlepool United still exists, and that we did play yesterday. Also, please could you stop masturbating over Harrogate Town. I'm very concerned you'll go blind.

A mix of relocations and jobs for locals to fill the positions of people who decide not to make the move.

Thanks for that Mr Sussex but that is a regurgitation of press releases made by politicians. Its the detail I am after.
Can see the Treasury sponsoring Darlo with a "five year plan" to get them into Premier League. What's a billion to them :)

I still think I'd rather hear ITV praise Darlington FC, than tinpot soulless Harrogate Town.

Thanks for information on 750 but how many local jobs created. Will certainly boost the housing market to the north south and west of Darlo or will they commute doing the hotels a favour and evening eateries a boost.
And its not any person on here to give the detail I just want to wait and see what the detail emerges over the next few months.
We are dealing with politicians here of whatever persuasion.

think i,m in your boat with this. most of the high paid jobs will be taken on by those who already have them with just the lower paid ones available for local people. if it is similar but in a much larger way than when rotary international moved from london to the midlands that was what happened. most of the higher jobs owners could not wait to move as they got a better standard of housing and a good re allocation package. her in the kitchen moved from a london flat to a detached bungalow. there could be a rise in house prices but that would make it even more difficult for local people getting on the property ladder.

I think we should wait and see before we assess it. It's a start but whether it's a good start and is followed up, only time will tell. We will be watched for our reaction so let's welcome it for the time being. We don't want the cynical brigade, with their dyed in the wool downtrodden attitude, to give the wrong impression.
I was worried about Sunak when he was chucked into the deep end because of Hammond's resignation but I now believe Phillip Hammond did the country a huge favour by pissing off.
When I see the bold Rishi on Telly I think of someone wet behind the ears but thankfully he's not. He has a brain and vision and loads of talent.
Boris might be lacking in some areas but he is a master at spotting talent and is not frightened to harness that talent. He appoints the Ministers but what is important he seems to get it right and what is more important he lets them get on with it. If they don't come up to the standards he demands, then through the door they go. Even his mate Cummings.
The only reservation I have is Gavin Williamson but he has the poisoned chalice with the job of Education Secretary. Good experience for the fella but who would want that job with all the factions in education and their contrary views. Take Teachers as an example. They are very vociferous in criticising others but woe betide anyone who dares to have the audacity to criticise them.
Keep it going Rishi, you are the first Chancellor to even look at the North East never mind the first one to try and do something for it.
He might not achieve his ambition but at least he's prepared to have a go and I can't fault him for that.

Just turned on BBC Look North by chance, and somehow, someway, Pools completely glossed over while Simon Weaver gets a fucking interview. What dirt does this man have on TV companies for him to be to be interviewed at such a high frequency?

Shouldn’t Harrogate be lumped in with the Yorkshire lot, I’ve never thought of it as being in the North East.

They should be. I have no idea how they get so much north east coverage. In comparison Scarborough and York never received any at all. Its bizarre.

well harrogate itself is lumped into yorkshire as far as news is concerned. as for football them being a north east club is really pushing it. could be the lack of league clubs in the north east which is why they are included as there are enough in yorkshire to concentrate on.

Don't worry, they've had plenty of coverage on Look North Yorkshire since the start of the season !
