Pools 3 - Nailsworth 2
5,120, a lower crowd than usual not helped by a paltry 29 people from Nailsworth.

Our lads will be knackered from the very demanding Wycombe game and the vegans had a clear week so another dogged determined display will be required. Cant see us beating them but with Sterry back we might scrape a draw. 1-1.

The ultimate manufactured team. Imagine a league of hobby clubs, where people with more money than sense decide they want their own little toy team. So Turnbottom Round on the Wold out in the sticks, gets a massive cash injection and is top of the Championship on crowds of 312... but hey who cares.

can see this being a hard earned draw tbh. They have very good strikers and are playing with that top of the league enthusiasm. Hopefully Cullen keeps firing and who knows might see us scratch a 1-0. We too are playing with confidence and need to put some points back on the board to stay in the top half. Sterry back and Daly playing the way he has been im confident. UTFP !!!

Byrne is a decent defender but he cant hit a cow's arse with a banjo. We NEVER score from corners.

If we treat it like a cup tie it's a hard fought 2-1 win for Pools.

First time this season im questioning the players commitment.
Need a severe blasting at half time.

it didn,t but sweeney got it totally spot on in his post match interview. then sterry got himself sent off when the game was more or less over. its not losing a game but how its actually lost which is more important. just wonder if there is something going on behind the scenes we do not know of. a possible new managers name being mentioned that the players do not fancy. usually there is a bright spark somewhere in the team which there wasn,t yesterday.

Sterry with a tactical 3 weeks off before he makes the move to Stockport. Gets his injury fully sorted with no games. Bit of light training to keep fit. Jobs fucked

 Very poor from Sterry but he's not going to Stockport. If they did make an offer Raj should ask for £100k plus Southam-Hales in part exchange. Week after week he's one of County's best players - in Sterry's position.

I see the Official site have us getting beat 3-0. Was Featherstone's penalty ruled out? Or is it lazy reporting.

either man of the match or very close to being. you can always improve no matter which player you are on about but would seem a pointless waste of money. mind you they can holohan if we can get quigley or madden coming our way.

I thought we acquitted ourselves well 2nd half on Saturday, we could have gone on to lose that game heavily but achieved a little bit of respectability with the final score, remember we'd only had a couple of training sessions leading into the game after our players arrived back at 5am Wednesday morning whereas FGR hadn't played for 10 days, anybody who thinks that doesn't make a difference is fooling themselves.
We're still a good match for most teams in this league, we move on and hopefully stay positive.

Thankfully MSH is an outstanding footballer and is consistent for them week in week out in Sterrys Position. Its more likely ZFA or Byrne going that way. But again Stockport have strength in numbers all over the pitch. Maybe we are just worrying ourselves because of the circumstances around the management.

Id swap Holohan for Croasdale any day of the week and Quigley in our team would see him notch 25 goals easy. Unfortunately its not gunna happen but i would like to see us sign someone of that ilk come January. Does Bennett get his game at Sutton as id take him back on Loan too !

As much as this may be an unpopular opinion, other than Sterry I don't truly rate any player on our team. I feel they work well in a unit and are decent, but they're equally nothing to shout about.

You could argue MSH is just as good as Sterry. I wouldn't bother with Featherstone at his age and Holohan is too inconsistent. In short, if I was Dave with an infinite war chest at Stockport, I'd hardly break the bank to bring in anyone from Pools.

If our squad was that good, Challinor would have stayed. He obviously thought he could bring in better players at Stockport so why would he bother bringing in players from here?

We're missing the spark that Burey was bringing early on in the season. Ability to go round multiple players and a constant outlet. You'd think Molyneux and Burey alongside Cullen or a forward signed in Jan would be fairly formidable.

Football all about confidence. I have a feeling it's going to get worse before better. Rochdale at home being where we return to winning ways. Love to be proven wrong of course.

just get us to that 50 point mark then we can look to rebuild in the summer. That was a chastening experience on Saturday.

i,m with you there. there are better players in this league out there and that includes those in sides pools have beaten. its not about individuals but about creating a team that gells on the pitch. we could have a poll on who fans would like to sign in january if we had the money. if it did happen then there is no guarentee they,d play well or better as a team than what we have already got. thats why managers are around and how they earn their money.

After Woking away last Saturday, Stockport are home to second bottom King's Lynn tonight, then away to the mighty Wealdstone on Saturday...

Maybe he just looked at Pools' upcoming fixtures and decided to dodge a bullet?

That sums it up, a ‘team’ of average players working and believing as a team can do wonders. It all depends on the fight in the dog in the end.

Jock Stein proved that when Celtic won the European cup.

Indeed or Sunderland winning the FA Cup against Leeds or Wimbledon beating Liverpool in the FA cup final.

Team spirit. Anyone not prepared to fight for the team, ditch.
End of the day, a disciplined team prepared to battle for the result and support each other will always be appreciated.

think most fans think that way and will give a real tryer type of player a bit of slack. its the lazy sods who think they are too big for the club that wind me up who play when they feel like it which is usually rarely.
