For any programme collectors out there it has been announced that the Wycombe v Bolton game on Saturday will be the last hard copy ones sold as it will then be an e-programme . this would then make the Pools one from last night the last home FA cup one.

Copied from the supporters Trust facebook page, another feather in Sweeny's cap, interesting:-

That’s the FIRST TIME we have EVER knocked a higher division opponent out of the FA Cup on their own patch!
Of the 35 previous FA Cup away matches against higher division opposition, we lost 27 and drew 8.
Side note… The only other time we have knocked out higher division opponents away from the Vic was in 1958 when we beat Rochdale in a second replay at a neutral ground (Old Trafford).
Thanks to In The Mad Crowd once again for their unparalleled knowledge of all things Pools!

Thats really bad even for pools. There will be some obscure clubs that have a better record than that. Could this be pools year after last night or another flash in the pan.

From the Wycombe forum, excellent:-

That was grim. Vokes and Bayo standing around on the edge of the box like overfed seals at a tawdry seaside attraction. Hartlepool looking like Milan in their red and black stroking the ball around and soaking up our hoofs with ease.

Also, what's happened to Stockdale's passing? He's gone from being a bona fide goalkeeper/playmaker to Frank Talia seemingly overnight.

Also from their forum, Didn't Talia have a spell with us, I'm sure I remember his name:-

From Wikipedia........ that's some reason to be left out of the Blackburn team:-

Although he was at the club for three years, Talia did not make any first-team appearances for Blackburn and following a threesome with Bob and Margaret Wilson, he moved to Swindon Town in September 1995 after a loan spell at Hartlepool United.

Those "highlights" weren't very complimentary.
Listened to the game on Tees, & there was at least one very good opportunity for Fergie in the 2nd half that just went the wrong side of the post. No sign of it on there . Would be interested to hear the views of someone who attended.

doubt even lincoln would get 10k to turn up. from there point of view the mighty pools are not the biggest attraction. however the interest in the FA Cup will be higher than it was at wycombe possibly due to the run they had a few seasons ago. every club eventually have there day in the cups and pools are really still waiting for there,s.

If you read their forum they are buzzing it's pools and not Wycombe. Quite a few of them said they will now go to it because it's pools and that we will take a big following, I reckon they will get at least 8000.
