raj interview....seems dave told raj him and his missus were going to move to the town...says dave said he was committed to a long term project....fits in with one of his lads choosing durham uni...but then the money came calling 6 weeks after he signed the contract ...but raj hints he thinks dave was being tapped much earlier ???

takeout for me was on the budget. Saying he withheld some of the budget due to an inkling that Dave would be leaving soon. I’m sure DC would have something to counter to that - but rumour is we did try for Tshimanga !?

January could be very interesting.

Also was it a slip of the tongue that Raj wants a manager who has played and also managed in the division… who could that be?

I haven't seen the interview yet,but you don't leave one club on a Monday & sign a contract the next night.
It must have been in the pipeline s long time before.

Watched him yesterday, met up with a mate in Chesterfield and saw the game.. always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, which is what you want in a striker

Can't see Chesterfield letting him go though

I think it was one of Raj's better interviews - he resisted the temptation to be snippy that he sometimes gives way to and looked forward not back. Pity Mr & Mrs Challinor didn't have the class to do the same!

His comments about wanting someone with playing experience in League 2 to take over pretty much rules Pete Wild at Halifax out of the running - he was never a professional footballer.

At least not for a price we could pay.

In Chesterfield’s position they‘d be mugs if they did let him go. I think we can forget that option as a non starter.

just think that DC was never really prepared for one minute to move himself and family across the country to the north east. think that could be the reason for not signing the extention he was offered and once he did he might have then been under pressure from his family to look for something closer. my lads got his orders to find something out at stockport but whether i can reveal anything may be another matter.

More or less what I expected a whitewash on the clubs part with DC not having the right to reply due to a disclosure clause in his contract. No startling facts asked or came out and so we carry on.

Didn't you once claim Michael Woods was moving to MK Don's?

Turned out to be Michael Dons moving to MK Woods, a timber supplier in Basildon.

It was good of Dave to share the contents of his contract with you wasn't it?

Did he show you the bit where he agreed to be our manager for the next three years?

Essex appears to base his ‘case’ on information he can’t reveal then when it finally appeared it was the biggest disappointment since Moby Dick mistook a nuclear submarine for a hot date.
Yet still he bangs away like a shortsighted woodpecker mistaking a lamp post for a sycamore tree, affronted that hardly anyone takes his ramblings seriously.

Reading between the lines it looks like the contract delay was DC asking for fixed compensation to be paid when he inevitably left after he’d been speaking to other clubs.

The dust has certainly settled. I'm a bit philosophical about this now (or just tired). Raj Singh... well...

He is who we have and none of us can replace him or have wealthy mates who could.
His actions saved the club.
He decided to appoint DC who got us promoted (great call)
He coughed up enough money to get DC to sign another contract.

I don't know the ins and outs but it sounds like DC is trying to say that RS might not be the 'nicest' of bosses to work for. I don't know. Maybe its true. On one hand 'nice' isn't the first word I would use to describe a dream owner, on the other I'd hate to think HUFC as an employer was not looking after people.

I still don't understand the Raj worshippers, desperately trying to persecute and discredit the blasphemers. Its weird lads.... just bizarre. People have different opinions. Its normal.

In conclusion, thank goodness I'm still on a HUFC forum, not having only memories of HUFC to talk about but a future as well.

You really are naive..... if you’re in a rubber dinghy trying to survive in the cold North Sea, you don’t whinge about the conditions or the state of the dinghy as long as it’s afloat...and you certainly don’t get your Stanley knife out and start waving it about.
You’ve got champagne standards and lemonade ideas.

Of all the things to pick out from my post.... well the analogies are shite but at least there's no cliche.

Most of your post was rambling tosh, that’s all there was left to chew.
Glad to see the analogy struck a cord, when anyone singles them out as shite it means a nerve was twanged.
DC has gone, rode out of town, he ain’t coming back, never looked back, but you just can’t let go can you. You crave a whipping boy to carry the can, after all it can hardly be Teflon Dave’s fault can it ?
With that mindset, disappointment shall follow you all your days.

Next season starts on 30th July.
Probably in league two.
But certainly not impossible to be in league One when we sign all these superstars in January.

On the topic of next season, I really hope teams below the championship don't have to do a stupid winter break because FIFA decided it'd be a laugh to host a tournament in a desert.

Dear me, so you say you ‘don’t know the ins and outs’ and ‘ sounds like DC is trying to say’...how the hell do you know what he is trying to say?..... are you in regular contact? [/color]
I don't know. Maybe its true. Then you follow through with a couple of classics, stating you don’t know and a vague maybe.Astonishing
On one hand 'nice' isn't the first word I would use to describe dream owner
what word would you use, you’d hardly call him an arse, this is contradictory jibber jabber
....on the other I'd hate to think HUFC as an employer was not looking after peopledo you have poof they aren’t.....? You don’t help yourself.
In conclusion, thank goodness I'm still on a HUFC forum, not having only memories of HUFC to talk about but a future as well.
Now you’re saying the club has a future...make your mind up.

In true Monty Python style ...’He’s not the Messiah, just the first ever example of a rat leaving a floating fully functioning ship’.
Pull down your DC posters, burn the DC duvet cover, bin the DC shrine and candles in the garden, he had feet of clay in the end.

thinks its all to do with the shit shows that were about before he took over. the only thing about raj is that i,m not sure where he lies in the amount of money he has got to spend. one day i think he has quite a bit if needed then the next day i get the impression of him shaking two pound coins in his pocket in the hope of them mating. i,ve nothing to base this on but just a feeling.

In the famous First World War cartoon where two Tommy’s are in a lunar landscape of shell holes and shattered tree stumps, one is whining on about their predicament, the other older one turns to him and says....”well if you knows a better hole, go to it!”
Which is our predicament and I just wish some people would accept the fact. No knight in shining armour is going to come along and splash the cash. We’ve had false prophets down the years who nearly killed the club, we are where we are... it’s this or the road, so make the best of what you’ve got, till something better comes along.
