Well I was miles out.

I couldn’t understand why we would agree to a switch to Friday night to directly clash with the England game. Only ones in League Two to make that decision.

The weather was also shit and people could sit at home in the warm comfort of their home and watch the game for a tenner.

On the way to the ground I thought we would do well to break 4,000, with no doubt very few travelling all the way from South Wales on a Friday night.

I know it’s worked OK in the past but never combined with England game, shit weather and watch online for £10.

I think a turn out of 5,764 is staggering, well down Poolies clappp once again.

Just a shame it wasn’t a victory.

I think, compared to a few years ago, the novelty of England picking apart an obscure Eastern European nation at Wembley has became boring. I didn't know the result of that until long after Pools finished.

Another good thing about Friday nights are the neutrals who often visit, that can bump up the crowd a little bit

5,515 at Stockport....hmmm ..... I thought that now that the clubs new El Supremo was installed at the controls, massive crowds of Biblical proportions would join a swell of humanity on an epic pilgrimage to Edgely Park to feast on the abundance of winning football on offer as they march arm in arm with the great motivator. Ah well, I can only assume the floodgates needed a bit of maintenance or the public of North East Cheshire aren’t fully on board.

They took 5,000 to Bolton. We took 10,000 to Sunderland. We’ve never been a big club and neither have they.

Pools potential has never been tapped into, maybe a redevelopment and another good manager will realise the potential we have. Anyway no fake fist pumps this week for that massive club. Pressure will soon be on him to deliver results.

If we go up to league One then i would imagine the talk of stadium expansion up to 10000 would have to happen.
Just to accomodate the Sheff wed Sunderland n Derby fixtures.

I watch Quest highlights now n again.
Been well impressed with the away followings this season in the EFL.
Must be the post lockdown of lads all over England wanting a good day out on the lash.
A win win situation to get the economy back on track.

the difference is that pools realise they are not a big club but they think they are. talks of ground expension to accomodate 22,000 fans. they certainly must be expecting big away followings in the future. really doubt any club could quadrouple its fan base with two top premier league clubs a few miles down the road even if they reached that level themselves.

Salford had that fantasy as well.
Look like its not going to plan.
Are they still swapping grounds with the Rugby team next season to get capacity up to 10000!.

every club in the world has a maximum and minimum number of fans that turn up for games depending the league they are in and how they are doing. only the premier league would see 5 figure regular crowds at the vic and even the northern league would get a thousand rolling up.

Isn't Stockport's crowd boosted by FREE kid's tickets, so although the figure might be 5k, how many actually paid?

The answer is yes and its a few hundred as well. However i think thats a good thing as there will be some poor sods that will come back and they are the future.
