Looks like your Chairman has refused permission for us to speak to DC, guessing he's going to try and get as much £ as he can and rightly so. I hear their is a release clause at circa 100k, not sure how true that is.

Worries me how quick he seems to want to turn tail on you as he will no doubt do the same to us!

Anyway let us see what happens, if not there are other good options out there for us.

I’m a realist. Stockport and the likes are simply much bigger propositions. We’re punching at the moment and now DC is leaving to bigger and better things that should put paid to any fantasy about us competing at this level.

You certainly are ‘something’.

Not sure what that’s supposed to mean? We truly have some of the most inbred fans I’ve ever come across. Delusions of grandeur come to mind. If we’re honest with ourselves we are a nothing team who no one (much bigger clubs like Stockport included) really pays any interest in. We have a sh!t ground, live in one of the biggest sh!tholes in the country. Sh!t fan base. Tumbleweed forum, best we can hope for is to stay punching in league 2. We really are an embarrassing little club.

As much as it pains me I for one don’t blame DC for jumping to a bigger, proper club.

Snowy, don't bite. This bloke is just a WUM taking the piss.

Wonder if the release clause varies as to which way uo or down the football ladder he goes? We had one on Martin Gray if a club up the ladder came in for him, york were in the same league. He resigned and turned up there and there was nowt we could do about it.

Apologies Exile. Not all our fans are inbred morons. Well tbf most are but like I say not all.

The majority are very bitter and hurting at the moment. I can assure you this, most of us Poolies would give up sleeping with our cousins for a whole month if it meant DC would remain.

Why on earth would he want to go manage a set of fans that resembled a morgue for a play off semi final fixture? I suggest he holds on and goes to a fan base with a bit of passion, maybe a wrexham who will love him, not a club who think they are way bigger than they actually are.

Anyway once he has gone we will still be playing the Bradford City's and Swindons while Stockport be scrambling round for results at the Wealdstones.

Well we have nice pies and the ground looks good, just need a decent manager not another u23 with no experience of having to get results.

Challinors away record is abysmal, he can get away with it here because he was loved by the fans,, I doubt Stockport fans will be as forgiving to him, he is living off great home form in front of a partisan crowd something that won't be replicated at Stockport.

Carry on with the mutual back slapping boys, but you won’t find getting out of the Quicksand League quite as easy as you think.
In fact why bother, you’re now an established National League side after all these years, a cornerstone you could say.

Our Poolie fanbase are truly embarrassing at times. Facts are we are rich pickings for a big club like Stockport. Some of the reactionary responses make us look even more pathetic (none more than Snowy).

DC was a god amongst us but all of a sudden he’s overrated, shit, and Stockport are welcome to him. Give your heads a wobble. He will be a huge loss and only someone of the calibre of Steve Bruce would ease the disappointment.

On a positive note, any compensation received will go along way to paying the leccy bill for a few more months at Victoria Park. I for one welcome and thank Stockport for helping us out.

Fascinating how a gaggle of non league chancers can come onto your board with such joyous optimism about their future..... in the league next season according to their script. But weren’t they saying that 10 years ago when their undercarriage failed and carried on failing for the next ten years....?
DC has is work cut out.

And there’s snowy on cue to demonstrate my point. Genuinely, have you had a bad experience with Stockport or is it jealousy that we can’t compete with such big clubs like them? DC leaving I get the disappointment but your continuous oddball ramblings just further highlight how embarrassing our fan base are.
