I do Jeff's football Saturday Super 6 most weeks & am absolutely shit, so I'm not going to predict a win. Would be happy if we score first.
What sort of reception is Luke Armstrong going to get ?

Pools 2-1 Harrogate. Cullen, Feathers(pen) and Armstrong(ex's always score)

Professional football is a job and he went to an employer who paid the best wages. Why criticise someone for doing what the vast majority of us do?

Pools 1 Harrogate 1 Really hope Pools fans give Armstrong a good reception and forget his desertion. Half of the main reason why as others said we are back in the FB and not that shit awful thing called the national league. Having said that I hope that Odisina or Fergie kicks him up a height and he has a mare of a match. I'm always wrong so there.

What's all this "thank Luke Armstrong" business? Surely people are aware it wasn't just him who got us promoted? I always thought Oates looked the better player anyway.

Luke was a great signing for us last year and did a great job. He should get a great reception at some point before kick off. After that he’s an opposition player. Until he ‘does a Bennett’ for us and misses a sitter against us he can never achieve higher status with our fans. We gave him the best year of his career so far to be fair. Anyway good luck to him after today. 4-0 to us with Armstrong sent off for 2 very soft bookable offences in the first half to gift us the game which is really the only other way he thought he could confirm for us that he is a true poolie and is sorry he signed for HT rather than us.

I hear you Basil Brush and agree and you are correct about others and particularly Oates. Personally I think Jonno, Sterry and Ferguson were our best players and really believe if we had kept Tylor Magloire alas we didn't. I just think that Luke Armstrong should before the game be given a round of applause as a sportsman and then during the game I hope he is anonymous. Knowing Pools that is sadly unlikely.

Brilliant afternoon. Had 15 minutes at the end of the 1st half with the Harrogate massive (all 270 of them) singing 'Hartlepool get battered everywhere they go' but 10 minutes into the 2nd half they were getting it back with interest!

I think that's the last we'll see of Pools lining up with 4 at the back. Harrogate are a good attacking side and as soon as they started overloading Ferguson down our left flank we were in trouble. The own goal was horrendous.

I was really hoping Dave Challinor would bring Liddle on as an extra defender after half time and thankfully he did! There was no predicting Pools would score those 3 quick goals though.

Just got over my sore throat from Bradford now I'm shagged again but boy was it worth it. I was a bit concerned when Sterry went of ( Hope it's nothing long term ) but I thought Ogle stepped in and did a great job and what a difference Liddle made. That goal of Daly's wow! Salah would be proud of that one. Great game. UTP!!!!

Id love to drink the tears of Harrogate fans but considering they don't have any fans I guess I'll have to settle with fanta.

Getting closer to 50 points.

I expect that's not really our target anymore.

I don't think I'm anywhere near the age such things should be a concern, but the excitement of those seven minutes had me thinking I was going to keel over.

still is for me and the quicker we reach it then the season could be re assesed. closer we get by january the more chance of recruiting better players as i doubt anyone fancies a relegation battle.

Considering its the club's lotto they should pull there finger out and put the winners number up by Tuesday after the game at the latest, the last time I looked on Osite they had Septembers up, sometimes Greig darby on Twitter puts them up but.. Not always. Otherwise it's a ask around if you don't hear it at half time....it's a joke really, that's way I don't bother. On OSite go-to more..community.. Match day lottery..

Apparently there's a bloke at the top of Belk Street who gets the winning numbers of every game tattooed on his back, if you knock on his front door at 10 past 11 on a Wednesday night he'll tell you what won, but if your a minute early or a minute late he just won't answer the door.... Sort it out Pools.

You could have got odds of 50/1 for a 3-2 Pools win at halftime. My mates son couldn't make the game so put a cheeky £20, and made a £1,000. Jealous, moi? Of course not, we were there!

is this a conspiracy theory which may be correct. did a corporate do years ago with 3 prizes. all won by people doing it. not me and not at pools either though. places that sell different colours of tickets make me feel a winner if my colour is drawn.
