Better be quick, before winter comes howling in.

Alan Hull was an excellent songwriter BTW - Lindisfarne turned into their own tribute band after his untimely death. All the creativity went with him.

Totally agree re James Alan Hull - a true genius - lyrics were challenging and humorous and Pipedream (which could refer to the Geordie Nation) was one of greatest solo albums, FACT

Looks like it could end in tears. The other Premier League clubs kicking off and certain political interest groups challenging the deal, how will it end?

Do you honestly believe clubs are protesting for ethical reasons?

 No. We all know their game, competition has suddenly appeared in the Premier League High Street....and competition is never welcome.
I suspect those with a political axe to grind may be their problem...we’ll see.

Bruce has got the bullet.
He was between a rock and a hard place for most of his time in charge.
Hope he gets a monster payout for dealing with a shit owner and players not to mention abuse from so called fans when most of the problem lay elsewhere.

They didn’t want him from day 1, but all managers think they can do the job.
The fans ‘humbly’ thought they deserved and demanded better...... delusional at the time.

I'm not a fan of Newcastle and was a bit non plussed at all the goings on.
Now though, after the whinging from the so called premiership elite, I hope Newcastle take the league by storm and put the elite in a place where they'll realise the effect their greed and urge for superiority has had on others.
In other words giving them a taste of their own medicine is very appealing to me right now.

got to agree 100 per cent. never thought i,d live to see the day i wanted them to succeed. as i said even their fans are getting some shit for helping the local economy buy purchasing tea towles. if the scousers had done the same they,d be lauded as downtrodden individuals coming out with gool old liverpool humour.

Apparently some anti racist group is organising ‘workshops’ to educate them in the error of their ways. Wonder if anyone turns up
I would have took the tea towel nonsense as a compliment.

The niggling doubt that hides in the shadows and comes with the birth of the ‘Magpie Renaissance’ in the release of Dervish like celebrating at the arrival of the new dawn....but deep down, you can’t help but expect it to go tits up ..... with fireworks.

It may well take Newcastle United's new owners years longer to buy their way to real success than they anticipate, but short of the Saudis losing interest and taking their hundreds of millions elsewhere it will happen sooner of later.

Really the Geordie fans have nothing to do with it. It's the football equivalent of winning the lottery. Just ask Man City fans - the tiny minority who remember that 20 years ago their team were playing in the Championship, and a few years before that were in what's now called League One.

What next?

Alcohol free bars?

No gambling in the ground?

Women to dress conservatively?

Saudization of the workforce and playing staff? Folk who worked in the Kingdom in the 80s and 90s will understand 'Saudization'.

Remember when the media were on a witch hunt over Newcastle United becoming owned by Saudi Arabian royalty?

Same media seems very quiet over Chelsea FC!

But will opposition fans be quite so accommodating?
I can see new terrace songs being composed in a pub somewhere as I write this out.
