Pools 2-1 - Very tough game (similar to Exeter) Daly to grab one due to his performance midweek.

ohh an Nicke Kabamba plays for them doesnt he ? guaranteed the curse and he grabs their goal

Kabamba was a finisher. Particularly on the break.

I remember that day well, not a blade of grass in the pitch. Happy memories.

0 shots so far according to the BBC stats. Is this a fair representation?

Like i said last week DCs Pools always give 100%.
Add in his Management skills and we turned that game on it head.
As for the size of the attendance Absolutely Outrageous.
Forget projict25.
An ambitious January window can bring that forward.
UTP.

Joe Grey helped to change the game, immense when he came on and just ran at people, exactly what we need.

Fantastic feeling to win such a hard fought game. Pools were lucky to go in 0-0 at half time. Some great saves from Killip and Francis-Angol needed to be as excellent at the back as Poolies now expect.

Great cross from Sterry and header from Fergie to get back level. All credit to Dave Challinor though for the substitutions, going 4 at the back and bringing Joe Grey and Jordan Cook on to inject some pace and take the game to Northampton.

Joe Grey is going to be a hell of a player! If he stays fit this season he can be a matchwinner for Pools time and again.

Great ending Pools and happy to be proved wrong over scoreline. The Cobblers had Pools on the backfoot the first half but as said above it changed! How long will Pools be able to keep hold of Joe Grey?

Killip had a bit of greif on here this season.
And that includes me.
But played a major part today in getting us 3points

As has been said it was a brave move to take a centre back off at 1-1 and go to a back four, especially as they were so dominant in the air. They were bigger and taller than us all over the park, but we simply wouldn’t give in and fought like tigers.

Well done to DC and the players, a brilliant victory!

I'm not entirely sure we deserved that today but I'll take it. Joe Grey was my man of the match, completely changed the game when he came on and what a cross for the winner.

How very gracious of you Sir.
However, ‘deserve’ doesn’t come into it, goals do. We got more goals.

even taking my pools hat off i thought we deserved the win. the only bits of really good football came from us. they were a typical northampton side you always get. big, athletic and very fit who are constantly in your face that give the impression they have an extra man on the field. joe grey was the real spark we needed and their tireing side could not cope with him. a few average performances out there but certainly not from killip. never a fan but credit where its due to him. onwards to the manchester united tribute act next saturday as there will not be a better place for our first away win to happen.

In his post-match interview, DC mentions a call with Neil Mellor of Sky who appear to have noticed the Vic's tremendous atmosphere. Did anybody see/hear it on tv & can report further ?

I sit in the Mill House and noticed yesterday that there was a dark haired bloke standing commentating in the press box next to a camera crew. If that was the Sky lot they couldn't not notice the atmosphere - it's like a revivalist meeting for most of a game.

It's not just The NW Corner lads singing- the metal wall next to the press box gets 7 bells knocked out of it, there's whistles being tooted, and the miserabilists who love the sound of their own voices complaining about how crap the team is can't make themselves heard above the din.

Even in the good times like Neale Cooper's first spell the Mill House was quite sedate and all the noise used to come from the Town End. Now it's mental - after Northampton took the lead midway through the second half the volume went up a couple of notches - and the team responded.

The Town end was the place to be during the 00's cant believe its so silent these days. Many a game before lockdowns it resembled a true non league following. Would be great to see it bouncing aswell as the NWC !

I thought all sides of the ground got behind the team really well on Saturday.
