one thing i do hope for is that no poolies today take the piss out of any oldham fan or groups of them no matter what goes on. remember not very long ago we could have been in there position and hopefully we will give them all our support today. fans will always be around even when the shithouses are just a dirty name from the past.

Fondop starts. Cullen doesn't even make the bench.

He is this season's Luke Williams.

Fondop seems to have done more defending than out else. Give him some time and to gel with the players and i think he will get us Goals. Should of probably had one today had our luck been the other way.

Fondop.s overhead kick was a good effort only wide by a couple of feet, at least he had a go, I think he's a good addition.

My summary of the game:

We really REALLY miss Burey.. We don’t have a player willing to beat a man. Literally means we very rarely get that far up the pitch or manage to counter teams. .

By Sterry and Fergie’s standards, wasn’t quite happening. Our game plan is clear that they sling crosses into the box, but we haven’t really cut a team open in the past 3 games.

Didn’t see the same game from Fondop that others saw. Thought he was clumsy with the ball and wasn’t necessarily winning much in the air either. Defended well though.

Liddle immense. Byrne’s worst game in a Pools shirt. Molyneux not a centre midfielder. Featherstone also quiet. Olomola touch let’s him down however plenty of times he tried something, he was running into black holes with very little support around him

On the whole, a boring game of football - but an away point. I just hope it’s not a sign of things to come after a very promising / attacking start to the season.

must have seen worse when pools did not lose but cannot remember them. did not help with an end view of the game which i hate. enjoyed barrow far more going as a neutral with their lot. point won or 2 lost not sure, think those that travelled deserved a lot more where apart from liddle and the new lad we were bang average at best. at least i was home before the vast majority to nod off as i nearly did in the game.

Two points lost if we consider Pools to be a top half of the table team!

The Mail mentions today that League 2 is taking its tole on Lids. Hate to see one of our best players suffering with niggles so early on in the season. DC is realistically looking at resting him, not good for us at all. Lawlor and Hendrie both still missing from match day squads, yet Timi gets the bench. Also baffled as to why we got the young left back from Stoke, bet the lad doesnt get a kick.

But yeh i have to agree that Burey is a massive miss - to be competitive at this level its shown that we need a direct forward attacking threat. I think him and Fondop upfront at the weekend we would have gotten the win. Unfortunately for us 70% of the team had an off day. Im hoping its just a hangover from the trek down to Sutton midweek. Fela didnt impress and neither did Cook. Not sure what Mols gives in that Midfield 3 either as we are desperate for a more creative midfielder when Holohan is out. Not sure DC is impressed with Mols either. Carlisle game seems to of been a mad one off.

Oldham had a bad start and have made changes to it’s playing staff, expecting three soft points was never going to be that easy.
Fair enough if we’d played them in the first couple of games, but managers in that position react and the stop the rot sooner or later.
