Pools 1 The Gas 0 (My mate down here is a Gashead and he tells me that in his words they are "fuckin' awful") Must admit that their lovely nice man manager Joey B would have been the first in this division to be sent down the road. Probably save his job for a week by winning at Pools. Hope not of course. Scorer...The Hooligan... who else? If he's fit.

It’s Bristol Rovers.
Aren’t they the club who dominated European football, rampaging victoriously around Europe for the past seven decades, supplied most of the England squad for the same period, have built a 250,001 seater stadium and are managed by possibly the most talented player and super dooper brilliant tactician ever to grace the game... and not forgetting a gargantuan fan base any club would die for........ No they aren’t, they’re Bristol Rovers.

Just think, if Harrogate got together with Forest Groan, they could hit the dizzy heights of nearly 2,000 ‘fans ’ . The one thing you can’t buy though are fans, they’re grown.

plus some kind of history with a club where previous family members have attended. pools may not have the greatest history of a league club but at least they have had one. there will be a number of poolies who are 4th generation fans. doubt you,ll get this as any of these new age clubs. once their dark days arrive which they will i wonder how many will then stick with them.

I’ve always regarded your club as a wife you can’t divorce.
Supporting a club like Pools is from the heart, any oaf can ‘support’ a ‘big’ club, it’s not hard, in fact it’s the daft lads option, but support of a lower league club puts you head and shoulders above any big pants opportunist fan in the top flight. Quote I heard years ago, “Have you seen Man U play?”.....” Just on the telly, but I hope to one day”......sounded more like a trip Lourdes.

had a so called man.u fan when i worked on the buses in coventry. he had everything in their colours down to his lunch box. had a feeling he,d never been to old trafford and asked him one day for directions to the ground as i managed to get a ticket for a game there. he said he hadn,t got time at the moment and would get back to me. 20 odd years later i,m still waiting.

Lacking up front at the minute makes these two away games very tricky, 3 points out of 6 will more than do.

got to be targeting at least 4 points really....we lost both away games and need to pick some points up to at least relieve any pressure on home games. winning home games won't happen forever so away points will be very welcome....Oldham especially in absolute disarray
