Signings needed and what happens, we miss out on Ronaldo.!!!! :angry-tappingfoot:
C’mon man, show some ambition, why let clubs like Man U beat us to him, ffs it’s only millions.

Could guarantee even if Pools had the money to sign Ronaldo he'd get injured in a friendly against York City.

Rumour has it Harrogate are poised and waiting in the wings... and a life voucher for Betty’s could clinch the deal. Why haven’t we got a high class confectioner to compete...I do miss Balmers, a hot mince pie could have swung it.

The legendary & sadly departed ‘Balmers’ pies, deserve their own topic….

Not forgetting Kemps bakery in Brenda/Sydenham Road, buns you could eat by themselves. RIP.

Ah! what has Raj done to our eateries? Did he cause the cafe at the top of Church Street to close where the Pools players used to eat after training? Was it Tony's?? Remember going in there for a chip butty from the college round the corner and sitting next to Bob Newton quite often.

I heard Pools in talks to sign midfield general Micky Fisher from Juventus.
£177 a week 10 month contract offer.
Wudent be surprised if Mansfield or Harrogate offer him a better deal like.
UTP.

there is no chance of that happening. they have not got enough Greggs there to swing the deal.

They also do a type of scone called a 'Fat Rascal'....which our lass & my sister went up to the counter in Harrogate store, & innocently asked for 2 'Fat Bastards'....you can take the girls out of the town....etc
