Interesting to see how many fairly decent free agents there still is without a club nearly 3 games into the EFL season.

if only Pools had that Euro winner sugar daddy there is a select few id have in a heartbeat at Pools.

Andy Carroll ( or Kanu) and Ross McCormack would defintely do a nice job up top for pools in this league - ha i wish

Some premier league standard players in there. Shows maybe now the pandemic is finally impacting big clubs on the wage bill side of things.

Bolasie is a strange one, thought he was pretty popular at the Riverside?

Yes there is definitely one or two that would make a bench or three in the Prem.

Bolasie did surprise me when i seen his name on the list as i thought Boro did alot to persuade him to stay and seemed a good addition for that level aswell. Injury perhaps ?

few of those players at the end of their careers also - wouldnt suprise me to see a Salford come in for the likes of Carroll or McCormack.

McCormack is finished. Played two games in the National League for Aldershot last season. Injury prone and a pretty poor attitude. Wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole. He’s played 5 games in the last two seasons so yeah, we’ll probably sign him!

He's not from Middlesbrough though so that's probably the dealbreaker.

years ago teams at our level would have been in for players like that. however i think a lot of top players would rather drift out of the game than training and playing for us or oldham for what they,d regard as peanuts.

very True - Pools have unfortunately been on the wrong end of that last gasp peanut trail a few times. Solano and Marlon Harewood but to name a few.
