[quote="Mute Witness"]It was very much a match of swings and roundabouts.

- (Rightly) disallowed Torquay goal for a push
- We score
- Torquay have a wrongly disallowed goal
- Torquay player kicks one of our players (Armstrong?) in the balls when down and escapes any punishment
- Torquay handball in the penalty area missed by the referee, which in fairness is difficult to make a judgement in a split second.
- Torquay keeper scores
- And the penalties.

/quote]

Their player Lewis should have had a second yellow for dissent yesterday at 94 mins as well.

I feel for the referee and the flack he's got from Torquay. At the end of the day, he's made one incorrect decision that's gone against them (i'm not having that the first disallowed goal was incorrect at all as it was a blatant push and stupid of the Torquay player as he did not need to do it). He made two incorrect decisions against Hartlepool (the handball pen not given and the testicle kick). As I said, swings and roundabouts.

A draw would have been about fair, but somebody had to win and I am glad it was us!

We also had a Goal disallowed scored by Liddle in the 5th minute. To be honest was disallowed for a similar challenge to the one made on James for their second disallowed goal. They also could have had a player sent off for a second yellow when he threw the ball away when a decision went against him. Basically the idea we got all the decisions in our favour isn't true.

Amazing experience at Ashton Gate. It had everything and every emotion.
What a battling performance from a bunch of players who gave everything they had and more, backed by the phenomenal support from our fans.
Well done to one and all.
A massive thank you for getting us out of this God awful league, as well as producing a result to my "Pools to be promoted bet", which brought me a £550 return.

I'll try. Bet 365 have quoted us at 33-1 to be champions and 7-1 to get promoted. I might just invest a bit in that direction but I'll wait until we have a better idea on the squad. I'd be well pleased if Newcastle could be tempted to let us have Cass on loan for another season.

wont miss a thing about non league ... it really really is as vile and fucked up as most who have got out of it claimed it to be... Refs are utter dog wank - the pitches and grounds at some of them tin pot sunday shite are even worse and the fans of the so called 'big teams' are more deluded than Mr Hancock . Allleee Allleee Allleeeee UTFP !!!

think we have a better chance of getting him now we are promoted. he,s done it at non league level so he might as well stay with pools to see how he performs in the league. its players like bennett who we might have signed that may have less a chance of seeing in a pools shirt again.

do not expect the match officials to be any better. seems a regular topic with bradford city fans of how bad they are. still have to go to sodding harrogate again with their ground designed by a blind man that hates football. at least they all have grass which is another poolie bonus.

I saw Adam Boyd and his family coming away from the stadium and he was wearing a grey checked patterned suit which looked a little tartan stylee'
