Wasn't expecting that result (or Torquay to draw)

Who would of thought that!
Massive boost for HUFC now it's back in our own hands for a top 3 finish.
+ No guarantee Stockport win at Yeovil next week.
Maybe 1 game away from Wembley afta next satday.
I mean Leicester.

Francis-Angol in for Ferguson in the starting 11 and Donaldson in for Shelton

Dave Challinor did say in one of his interviews this week that he was thinking of making changes. Ferguson isn't the best defensive left back in the division, but still!

Donaldson had a good game against Bromley on their plastic pitch...

3-2 to Pools. We need to score more than them if we’re going to win this one.

I was one who was underwhelmed by the return of Oates - and I am so happy to say that he has proved me wrong by a significant margin. I only hope that Donaldson can do the same...................

Surprised Ferguson is on the bench as he has been very consistent this season, although Francis-Angol looks decent as well so i'll trust DC on that one. I think Shelton struggles on 4g pitches, Crawford has been poor to average when he's been given a chance, so Donaldson with his experience will hopefully do a job for us today.

Same old problem, every time we make changes. Main priority must be to get a decent keeper next season.

How many goals s that Pools have gifted to opponents this season? Dreadful first half anyway - we can't seem to string 2 passes together going forward.

They are bossing the midfield, we need to come out the traps quick and put them on the back foot 2nd half like they have just done to us.

We don't like Plastic pitches.
If Stockport don't win next week then if we got an excellent draw today it would be the same as a 77 0 defeat.

I'm presuming we win next week.

UTP.

Spineless performance, messing about with the team for one of the biggest games was total suicide. A team at the bottom would of gave them a better game, no point playing well for 35 games of the season then bottling it. No doubt the usual well it’s been a great season brigade be out to defend that.

Apart from the error James made a couple of decent saves. Not sure why Ferguson and Shelton were on the bench. Not great stuff from us all round. Holohan slow. Williams coming on and looking uncomfortable. That’s his season over I guess. Well done Sutton. We need to regroup and sort the defence out. We’ll need to be harder to beat than that.

Can anyone really see us going to a Stockport and beating them? We bottled the Maidenhead game and now we have put in another desperate performance today. Only hope is Stockport mess up next week.

Really dire defending again after Lewis Cass was withdrawn. Hope to God he hasn't aggravated his sore knee playing on the plastic.

Francis-Angol did as well as anyone at left back, but neither him nor Ferguson (nor Sterry) can play as a centre back.

Overall - terrible. Where was the desire to win?

possibly i,ve seen pools at stockport more than most pools fans have. apart from a couple of occasions i,ve gone home not just disappointed but depressed. a couple of 6 nil hammerings and having the piss taken out of me by their fans have not helped. for me anywhere but stockport and plastic pitches no matter who are in the pools side.

little bit harsh as before sutton scored, you'd say pools had just about edged a pretty even game

But once the keeper makes the mistake for 1-0,it's like we never believed we would get back in....and 2nd was lucky which killed us off

Liddle completely bamboozled for the 3rd.

I think it's been pretty obvious we have a good 11, but after that, there is not a lot you feel confident in. Before this weekend, you'd of been hoping we had a chance after this week of 3rd with how easy it seemed on paper for stockport. Hopefully we can win with fans back in against Weymouth and then stockport drop points away to yeovil.

If not, have to just win a home and away game before the final in playoffs. I'd fancy us at home but it's the away game to stockport i'd be worried about.

It's not yesterday which has screwed us over...there's a lot of other games where should of done much better....maidenhead at home recently the biggest one, but losing away to weymouth, dropping points away to kings lynn etc
