Dear mother of god.......i am sure this very wealthy woman will spend little time in this town as its a lot warmer in the Cayman Islands.
Bet shes only an interim until the next election when Houchen will stand and get in with 80% of the vote as the good folk of the town will think its Keith.
Polls can often be wrong so lets see Friday. There has been some good publicity for the town though.

Based on my experience of them winning our seat that they hadn’t held for several elections I wouldn’t be too optimistic. The towns that really need the help are getting worse rather than better.

think the result could be decided by those who voted for the brexit party in the last election. at the time i doubt they were overkeen on either big parties to deliver what they wanted.

When asked if he would resign if Labour lost Hartlepool, Starmer didn't appear sure or even bothered.
I'm getting the impression that he is a bit disillusioned with the Party at the moment and the effect the hard left is having on his leadership. They don't want him as leader and would actually welcome his resignation.
There isn't any enthusiasm within the party at the moment, just a sort of resigned expectancy of further humiliation and the dour approach of Starmer isn't doing anything to alter that. In fact he is fuelling it in my opinion.
If he is faced with the possibility of resignation from the leadership I think he just might be a tad relieved, welcome the get out clause, bugger off and let momentum et al get on with it.
I was talking to a guy the other day who has just turned ninety and is a lifelong labour supporter ( I was dropping a birthday card off at his house) and I couldn't believe what I was hearing when he said he was washing his hands of Labour. I've seen and heard it all now.
Totally and utterly unelectable was his stance.

Just remember you're on show to rest of the world tomorrow. Dress To Impress if you're out and about.

Corbyn,Abbott ,McDonnell and the likes are the gift that keeps giving to the Tory Party.

I've said it before but I don't believe Labour will ever hold power again. It'll split between the loony left and the blairites. The latter have a chance of getting elected but not for a decade, the former are consigned to history.

he reminds me of a football manager who took a club from just outside the play offs quickly to mid table playing boring football. someone a lot of fans did not want in the first place who never won them over and didn,t really understand them or the club.

Try to guess the candidate who will get the least voted and my money is on Adam Gaines with 35 votes narrowly beating Chris Killick on 42dd.

Election day has been spoilt for me hearing the news the French have tried to invade Jersey.

I have some sympathy for the French fishermen. Their livelihood has been switched off overnight without a period of phasing.

Haddock coming to them I say

We will batter the French if Belgium give us and the frogs the bullets to shoot at each other. But it has to go to a committee which cant meet until Covid regulations are relaxed in June.

its not as if they were fishing just off the south coast. jersey is much nearer to france as it is to the rest of britain.

thats pools knackered then for 4 more seasons. thought the tories would get in but not by the margin they did. that was a real hammering on torquay at home was.

Not so much moved to the town as obtaining a second home in the town I recall.

thought she lived in thirsk. if thats true its hardly the other side of the country. if i lived there and got a job in hartlepool i would not move, same the other way round. if anyone wants to knock the lass wait till she does something wrong and living 30 odd miles away isn,t one of them.
