might be a good idea if some opposition managers came out with that instead of the crap spouted by some after pools beat them.

I thought this was about the social media boycott that is going on.
I see the National League are taking part. I think they started early - several months ago.

A reference to Dine of Luty, not sure what all of the fuss is about, I reckon its quite ordinary, it was the DCI being interrogated last night answering "no comment ' to every question.

TBH i think the New Avengers is more realistic with Major The Hon. John Wickham Gascoyne Beresford Steed MC OM and Purdey.

It's not in the same league as 'Softly Softly' with Stratford John's..

All very BBC. Back in the day they didn't have to make such a song and dance about hit programmes because there were only a couple of other channels. Steptoe and Son, Monty Python, Only Fools and Horses, Z Cars, Shoestring - anything that was any good, we were watching anyway.

Now it's embarrassing the way they hype their successful shows to death, with multiple plugs on their own chat shows and shite like the One Show and BBC Breakfast (great idea, turn everything into a chat show, including MOTD).

It's not the licence fee I object to, it's the rubbish they spend a lot of it on.

Would anyone like to join me in killing that owl like woman on BBC Breakfast? I'll happily make it a double murder with the Dan Walker droid.

at least i could keep up with the no comment stuff. i,ve struggled with the plot most of the series with the actors talking in abreviations. by the time i worked out what the OPS , GLD, NAC type of thing actually meant i,d lost the thread of the thing.

thats because the series was more DC than PC. now you have to suffer the top cop being a woman or a bloke of colour. on top of that the cops looked like cops then and not used car salesmen or a bearded office worker. the blokes are as bad too.

I love how a few months most people (usually young and far left) were demonising the police saying they were evil, now the BBC have released a drama detailing them, the police are suddenly cool and trendy again.
Britain must be the most fickle country on the planet

Wasn't Juliet Bravo the first tv Police head honcho? Or was it Jill Gasgoine in the Gentle touch?

both came out in 1980 . thought the main female characters were only inspectors though with male characters outranking them. jill gascoine was one that made me show more interest in older women after that series.

After the Lord Mayors show comes to mind, it was a bit of a damp squid after the previous seasons like, I didn't have a clue what happened in there last night.
