Ten years ago they won a PL title. Now they're playing the Granada TV works team.

...what do you mean Granada is in Spain?

If they get through to the semi's, they will play either Grampian, Border or Anglia, allegedly!

Reds down here have become less vocal in pubs and workplaces and have moved onto to supporting their local team Brighton.

Just read on Twitter the other day about a fan group named "Northeast Spurs". So that's where the Man U fans went!

They could have longer to wait for a trophy than Pools fans.

Well this thread has aged well.

The likes of Hartlepool Reds, Northeast Spurs and the like have enabled their clubs to become greedy beyond all recognition. Now they risk destroying the fabric of English football.

The blood is on their filthy hands, all while they spurned clubs like us, Darlo and Bury. Imagine that been your legacy as a football supporter!? Enabling a Super League built on nothing but greed.

The fact the main man upset by this, is a Man U fan from BURY who is bankrolling a soulless Man U clone in the EFL is the tastiest irony I have ever encountered.

Edit- oh, and it's getting financed by the yanks. Remember when people said only Muslims and East Europeans destroy British culture? Lol!

The greedy premiership is up in arms because their gravy train could be replaced by an even bigger gravy train, with them left out.
It would be ironic if their clubs featured on TV with the sort of payments paid to the likes of us, whilst ALL of the super league clubs gathered all the riches. They are squealing about how it will destroy football in this country, having systematically destroyed the magic of the FA Cup. This will add another nail into that coffin. Will a fixture like Marine v Tottenham ever occur again if this goes through???
We should have a sweep on which super league shirt will be the first to adorn the plastic brigade.
Whatever happens it won't change the likes of me. I support Pools and nobody else, so let them get on with it.
It will be interesting though as we watch the very rich and the super rich trying to destroy each other.
Just a thought....... first class County Cricket in this country is ring fenced and no one can get promoted or relegated through merit, so the idea isn't new, although recently they have split into two leagues so have some form of performance related movement but no other county can join in. Maybe that's why no bugger watches it, apart from the few who go to get away from the wife or to have a nice nap on a sunny afternoon.
There are now people who, for the first time, see this debacle as potential entertainment from football.
I wonder if they've considered Rangers or Celtic.

think county cricket is different though. until durham made it into a 18 county competition there had never been a big push from other counties to enter this first class structure from the minor counties.

The whole purpose of the Premiership is to maximise income from far and wide. Who they can’t sell their outrageously expensive season tickets to, they target for their many lines of merchandise from shirts to duvet covers for fools to buy.

Southgate must be worried seeing Shaw and Slabhead getting torn apart.

Old Trafford definitely doesn't appear to be a happy ship at the moment but that is a passing observation.
As someone who is only really interested in our United ( i.e the real one ) I can't say I'm duly perturbed with the goings on in Manchester.
I am happy for DC though. As a Liverpool fan he must have been doing cartwheels watching his team score five at Old Trafford without reply.

One of the happiest days in my footy life would be witnessing this:-

Premiership Table (final positions):-
15. Spurs
16. Arsenal
17. Man Utd
18. Liverpool
19. Chelsea
20. Man City

With Pools 1st of course

For those 6 clubs the only prizes worth winning are the Premier League title and the Champions League, with qualification for that annual bunfight the only consolation prize worth having. No wonder they're crapping themselves about Newcastle suddenly having tons of money to spend - half of them are struggling to compete with the likes of Leicester as it is.

On the greed front, UEFA are as bad with their new European Conference wheeze, though it is providing some moments of comedy with Spurs losing to Vitesse Arnhem and Roma getting thrashed by a team from Norway.

Neil Warnock would be a good appointment to steady the ship.

I wonder what's his payoff - signed new 3 year contract in July?

I expect he will jump into another Manager's job within a few weeks - failure seems to be rewarded by many Club Chairmen.

Challinors form and eye for a player must make him at least a League-1 managerial prospect.?..if only he'd stuck around .

Allegedly it's £7.5 million.

a football team playing poor and losing the odd game. surely we have all seen this before. bet burnley would swap league places with the manure now. certain clubs think they have a god given right to succeed. they are top of that list.

They’re talking of getting a new manager in next summer and apparently keeping thing ticking over.
It’s November, not bloody April, there’s an awful lot of season left, what is Man U a Spa/ rest home for buttered ego’s...?
