I’ll be surprised if she lasts another 12 months I’m afraid. You see it time and time again with old folk who have been together a very long time, when one goes the other follows pretty quickly. Today is the first time I’ve seen her looking frail.

It was really awful to see her sat on her own today. Just highlighted the terrible effect covid has had on her generation.

It could go the other way though. She is very strong. She has an immense sense of duty. She is of a generation accustomed to loss. I would not be surprised to see her still around for awful lot longer. God save the Queen and all that.
