We only need to win if we want to win the league. If we want 2nd or 3rd it’s a must not lose game, especially with games against Wealdstone and Weymouth coming up.

I'd be happy with a draw but only with 6 PTS from these next two games.
Heart says home win.
Head says away win.
So probably be a draw 2. 2.
UTP.

Grand National starts at 5.15.the not so grand National league match starts at 5.20. Only BT and the National league could get the match to be on at the same time as this national event. Total shite.

Oates out injured, Bennett starts, Ravas in goal with Brad Young on the bench. Molyneux the only forward among the subs, with Williams, White, Donaldson.

Holohan on fire at just the right time in the season. Very odd watching a Pools game with crowd noises.

Wouldn't it be nice if it looked like that at the end of the season.

Did I hear that commentator correctly?

It’s ok doing it against the likes of Woking and kings Lynn but when you’re up against the big clubs like Hartlepool......

Seriously?

Top of the League!

Better still, 17 POINTS CLEAR OF THE TEAMS CHASING THE LAST PLAY OFF PLACE!!!

The play offs with fans in the ground is the least Poolies have got to look forward to at the end of this season. Feckin' brilliant!!

Really good performance, it's been a long time since pools have comfortably managed games out. Well done DC

Well done Pools. Their guy with the header should have scored but..My late dad RIP used to say it was better to have the points than games in hand. We shall see. I wonder what Stockport County think of Bennett? Didn't let them settle which was pleasing to see instead of standing off. Expected a second half come back of sorts but a double over Notts County? This has never happened in all my 67 years or ever? Where's Stato? So Pools pack the Vic with give away season tickets and lose as many games at home as they won and with no fans present they have their best home record since Adam was a lad. Obvious conclusions but will enjoy this for a few days and keep winning and they stay behind us for a while. What is is with Torquay and their late goals to win? Expected to be shot down but don't care. Pools 2 Notts County 0. Now To Beat Pools.

A great win without getting out of first gear. They were 10 unbeaten away and we made them look average. Must win at Wealdstone now if we want to keep the pressure on Sutton and Torquay.

The first of a string of high pressure games very well negotiated.

This league is relentless.

still looking like 3rd place for me at the best. i,d take that now. torquay seem to have got over their bad run and somehow i cannot see the whells coming totally off at sutton. worst goal difference of the top 4 as well which may come into it at the end.

We simply have to beat Wealdstone and Weymouth and if a few of the other teams games go our way, who knows!!!

Someone has to drop points this week 2nd and 3rd play each other. I think to win the league a Torquay win might be best and hope they slip up elsewhere, though I’d take a draw. A Sutton win and it looks like the league is almost theirs. Torquay, Notts County have extremely hard run ins. Stockport look the team at the minute.

On the BT commentary yesterday Adam Virgo made the point that the Sutton squad doesn't have the strength in depth that the two Counties, Torquay and Pools have, so they could struggle in the run in. That makes sense - they've got 11 games to play in 7 weeks and have only won 1 of their last 5 games. If they don't beat Torquay on Tuesday night they are definitely catchable, and Sutton v Pools on our last day of the season could be massive.

Stockport have to win all of their games in hand to catch up with Pools, so Torquay are probably favourites again to win the league now that they've got Wright back. Think a draw on Tuesday night might be the best result for us.

just imagine if after that game the league table looks like it does at the moment. will be worse than a kid waiting 7 days for christmas. the week will never end. just hope pools are 4 points clear of the team below them without all the if this or that happens for a complete week.
