He's in a leg brace for a couple of weeks to protect a knee ligament tear and could be out for 4-6 weeks, according to Dave Challinor.

Timi Odusina didn't put a foot wrong on Monday but that's Pools down to the bare bones at the back, so you'd assume Challinor will be trying to sign a left-sided defender.

Joe Grey's stress fracture of his back is going to keep him out till the end of the season. Hope the lad makes a full recovery and comes back bigger and stronger for 2021/2022.

so really ryan johnson could be out for the season then. think joe grays problem is his age and still growing and its more of a precaution than anything serious. killips elbow could also take awhile to heal fully. if anyones like me even a small knock on the elbow seems to take weeks to right itself. odusina may have had a steady game last time out but its funny the clean sheets have dried up since he came back into the side. at least challinor has got some time on his hands for a loan player to come in. its needed for sure.

I think he'll be a big miss Ryan, prior to his injury only Ferguson had played more games this season. Did we get Cooper in as centre back cover or full back?

forgot about cooper. thought he was a full back that could play centre half. if thats what he is then we need a centre half who just plays there and no where else.

I'd forgotten about Cooper too. He's a right sided defender anyway so not really cover for Johnson. Pools would be screwed if Ferguson has to miss any games while Johnson is out, so getting in a left-sided defender is a must. Challinor is in the Mail today saying they've looked at players in the NL North and South but most are part-timers who are not going to be able to train properly with the rest of the squad - and won't be match fit anyway as they've not had a competitive game in 2 months.

I guess Cooper will come back into the reckoning, though he struggled at times in his last game against King's Lynn and hasn't made the bench in the last 4 games. It says it all that the manager has preferred Ryan Donaldson to provide a bit of emergency defensive cover off the bench. Then again, I seem to be in a small minority of people who post on here who hasn't written Donaldson off completely

all i,d say is if donaldson was in front of me in the pecking order i,d either get away from pools or find a career out of football very quickly.
