Amazing progress in the invention and application of this vaccine. Far and away its the world standard.

Got a letter today inviting me to phone or website but already sorted. It seems a bit haphazard but they are getting it done.
Think its all down to the people who know not the politicians.

Good news. I had mine four weeks ago today. It's amazing how it cheers you up and improves your outlook. The wife gets her first one tomorrow.

There is an option to wait for your jab on a more suitable day or at a more suitable venue. If you get an invitation letter you can book online or by ringing 119, where you can explain any problems or restrictions of access etc and sort it out. If you get a phone call you can also discuss these problems at that time. There are people there to help with logistical problems but unless you tell them, they assume you're ok with the venue offer.
The postie delivered my invitation and the guy over the road's at the same time. We both went online and he opted for York and I for Sheffield. Leeds was also on offer, or we could have waited for something nearer through 119. He wanted the ride to York because he said both he and his car needed the ride out and I just wanted the first available needle.
Maybe the lady from the next street thought that the offer she got was the only one available and if she didn't take it she would lose it.

she works in a junior school so she may think it was that or nothing as she is desparate to get the jab. think there is a bit of pressure behind it as well from above.

Yeah but what amazes me since the outbreak of this pandemic is the number of people who don't appear to be able to think for themselves or outside of the box.
Some people could complicate a glass of bloody water.
The pressure on people to get the jab is a minute fraction of the pressure on the NHS to supply people with it, plus everything else that has been thrown at them.
I suppose in mitigation that considering your teacher friend has spent most of her working life whinging, we should expect the same about the rolling out of the jab. Whinging seems to be ingrained in them.

Mr Horden said we should say it like it is, like he does because otherwise, if we don't, we would be spending our lives telling lies.

Did you know there are some people in this country who don't know the difference between a wheely bin and a leafy country lane. LOL.

think we might be entering whats called an age thing here. since leaving school in 1964 and being in close contact with teachers kids were more or less encouraged to think for themselves. unfortunetly since the internet age things seem to be turning a full circle. more sheep like actions of many nowadays and if some celeb that i have never heard of told em that a country lane was a wheelie bin they,d believe em. do not think its about telling lies, but more and more are saying stuff they do not actually believe to be part of the gang and not an outcast of their own making.

Exactly, woke up in the night after my jab with one of the worst headaches ever. Only had Ibuprofen in, that didn't really help.

Just been looking at the latest covid figures and only 4500 people in hospital now.
Down massively from 30000 in January.
Fair play to our government for getting so many jabs knocked out so quickly compared to the rest of the world were the third wave is kicking in.
Get my jab in a few hours at the town hall.

Flu and Pheumonia deaths down on previous winters so hopefully getting back to so called normality is only a few months away.
Stay safe enjoy this week's heatwave and
UTP

Infection rate in Hartlepool 101 of 100,000 yet that cultural centre of the world Middlesbrough is 49 the same as a very rural area Gwynedd in North Wales.
WTF is going on here..........maybe check out behaviour in "The Asda"?

if these places opened more checkouts then people would be able to get out of these hell holes even quicker. about time they get it into their arrogant heads that many, especially the older end, do not like the self service ones or home delivery for that.
