No more " we will lose " from me, every game now for me is a must win game, we must send out a team selection with tactics to go for the wins, win one lose one is better than two 0-0 draws so I'm going for.........

Dags 1 Pools 3

Oates Armstrong and Johnson.

and one win and 2 defeats are the same as three draws. its getting close now to the point where we have to go for wins and not settle for an away draw. if by doing this we lose then so be it, we,ve given it a go. going for a 2 nil defeat as i,ve said before its working.

We can’t sacrifice our chance of finishing 2nd or third though. We have won 9 and drawn 1 of our last ten at home. We would have a home semi final. Not only do we have quite a difficult run of games, Sutton have 3 games in hand a better goal difference, two games to play against Barnet who have basically packed up and they are at home to us. If we have to settle for a draw tonight so be it. Chances of us winning tonight and at Stockport are probobly pretty slim, our away form has been pretty dreadful lately. We don’t really want to end up away in the play offs.

Depends which Pools turns up tonite.
Plenty of win predictions.
3 points required to maintain a top 3 finish.
Heart says win.
Head says anutha 2 points dropped.
2 2.

0-1 to us. Oates skins their right back and lashes a shot in to the top corner before picking the MOTM award up and saying it was a team effort. What a player.

How long was Timi Odusina's latest ban for? Thought it might have only ruled him out for the King's Lynn game but he wasn't in the matchday squad for Woking.

Is he available for selection tonight? Pools need a bit of pace at the back and hopefully Odusina has learned his lesson about on field discipline.

I like the way he plays too so we'll keep quiet about the 3 crosses he might have connected with in the first half and the chance missed right in front of goal in the second.
Just typical that he put the hardest chance away!

Think the Woking game was the first time this season he's stayed on the pitch the full 90 minutes, and he was full of running to the end. A really fit Rhys Oates is bad news for any defence we'll come up against in the run in.

Oates is a confidence player so yeah don't mention the misses. To be fair most of them miss most of the time. Armstrong is miss of the season so far I reckon. It's great seeing Oates knock the ball past their full back and skin him for pace. Been a while since we've had a team with such pace. Sterry had legs like a cartoon character last week as well. I'd lie to see more from Molyneux. I'm picking in him at the moment I know. Hope he can get in to the game more and stop giving the ball away as much. If he had more end product I'd give him more leeway but his decision making hasn't been the best. I'll bear with him though.

Good side and bench for tonight. Cass, Shelton and Holohan start, White, Molyneux and Williams on the bench, as are Odusina and Bloomfield.

Chances for both sides, great that we've taken one and from a corner too. They should have scored themselves to be fair.

Comfortable win in the end - should have won by more than one. Other teams at the top winning too but it's a good 3 points on the road - Pools march on!

That was a very impressive performance and another three points. Keep it going boys. I just wish Holohan would step up to the plate.

Superb result especially with N County only drawing.
A draw at Stockport is acceptable now.

Well done Pools. But those many wasted chances for goals could end up costly. Last night's game only slightly soured by results elsewhere. But as Brian Clough would have said..."but we won 1-0 lad."

like a loads of games recently the word should would be far better than could. its not doing my nerves or blood pressure any good. to those pundits that say 2 nil is a bad score i wish pools would get these bad scores. it certainly makes next saturday going to be an interesting game. one in normal circumstances would be a big poolie away turnout.

Think we would all take a point now, though if were serious about winning the league a win is needed.

think it would need a minor miracle to win the league as its something no one can do anything about. we could win all our remaining games and still fall short. never like draws home or away but would snatch the hand off for one on saturday. think their fans would feel the same if we were at the vic.

Between now and the end of April Sutton have got 5 away games and only 2 on their plastic pitch - and one of those is against Torquay. If the wheels are going to come off for their season it has to happen in the next few weeks.

Pools were the last team to beat them in the NL and since then they've won 5 away games on the spin. If they can keep that up you'd have to say they'll go up as worthy champions.

Things can soon change, especially if we can win at Stockport. It looks unlikely but you never know.

wish pools were 4 points clear with 3 games in hand of sutton. we are hardly putting pressure on them or them putting pressure on themselves. we cannot really afford to lose 3 games to the end of the season. they could their next 3.

Pools have no more scheduled Tuesday evening games.
The other clubs will catch up their games in hand on the remaining Tuesdays. It'll be tense watching the scores coming in online.
Torquay at Sutton Tue' 13th April.

i have seen this done twice but have seen some real hammerings at their place same as i,ve seen the same at the vic the other way round. we have played em so many times over the years were both sides always struggle in the away games.

Just hope our saturdays are against those who have played on tuesday night and not ones who have had a rest when they should have played dover or macclesfield.
