They have said if they lose the trophy game, they will furlough all the squad. How about the league gets tough with them and just throws them out of the semi final for basically taking the piss.

I hate this tin pot league! They wouldn't get away with it a league higher.

FA Trophy, so nothing to do with the Conference situation really. Much debate on their forum down here about them turning down streaming revenue from Wrexham, Stockport, Torquay, Notts County at £12 a pop - estimating at £200k since many more people can watch matches than would actually travel. Personally I'll wait until the outcome of tomorrow's match before I want to null and void their results. It was awful seeing Pools lose here. Niko Muir guaranteed a goal.

500 away fans streaming at 10 quid a go is better than 249 live at 20 . 2 pounds is nothing until you look at the situation where the majority only charge 10 and people think they are being ripped off.

Perhaps it's to save money for their new 9,000 seater stadium?

Their average attendance is about 2,100, so at least you know they have realistic owners!

If the National League had relegated Dover 4 or 5 divisions, as they should have done, I don't think there would be any talk of other clubs not fulfilling their fixtures.

To be honest it looks as if this story has been blown up out of all proportion by the way BBC Sport reported it. It boils down to Woking's Geordie motormouth of a manager letting off steam because he's frustrated by team performances. Woking won't be 'doing a Dover' - that's not Alan Dowson's call anyway, he's the manager not the owner.

Dowson is threatening to furlough players in Woking's part-time squad if they go out of the Trophy and play kids from their Academy side and loanees instead - which is pretty much what King's Lynn are doing already and they still managed to make Pools look second best at times on Tuesday night.

If you don't believe me have a dip into his 22 minute video interview (I kid you not) on the Woking OS today - https://www.wokingfc.co.uk/tv/v/1511/2/
Dowson makes Craig Harrison sound like Bamber Gascoigne and talks shite at 50 to the dozen, but about 13 minutes in he explains that his outburst was all about the 'murrtavashun' of his players and he's not afraid to play the kids if they don't get the message. Says he's making a lot of changes for the game at the Vic anyway and signing two players on Monday!

Let's be honest, with no relegation none of the teams in the bottom third of the division have got anything except pride to play for. There will no doubt be some shockingly bad performances in the coming weeks - hopefully a few are against Pools! Other teams with a decent manager and players busting a gut for a contract will be hard to beat - just like King's Lynn.

Pools need to put Woking away tomorrow and not worry about how good or bad they are after that.

it can work the other way with woking today and other teams. they have nothing to worry about and can just go out on the pitch and enjoy themselves. no tension about them or worry about points being lost. can see a few odd and surprising results by the end of the season.

We need to be physical today, right in their faces from the off, because most of their players will want to impress to be in the team for the trophy game or even the final should they make it, but what they won't want to do is get injured or suspended so we should use that to our advantage.
