Will Dover's results be struck off the records as if so it will mean Torquay, Stockport and Wrexham will each loose 3 points to give us all a level playing field.

From what I've seen before, results against the folded/resigned club are usually expunged. Granted that's at a lower level.

King's Lynn are staying in the League by instalments:
"King’s Lynn Town Football Club can confirm that the next two National League fixtures will go ahead as scheduled. The club will issue a further full update in due course." Sounds as if they've taken on Ken Hodcroft to do their PR

Looks like Dover are being left out on a limb, so expunging their results and expulsion from the NL is the logical option. They might get very lucky and just get demoted one division if the clubs in the NLS and NLN who wanted to play on are allowed to, in which case promotion and relegation would apply. Talks are continuing on that one.

Fully expecting Dover to be expelled from the National League probably 3/4 divisions lower.
Ye previous results will be expunged and a 42 game season to finish at end of May.
Plus side of it is Pools get an xtra week to prepare for the play offs which we SHOULD comfortably qualify for seen as the team's near bottom can't get relegated.
Anyway I've upgraded my expectation to finish 2nd or 3rd to get a home game in the semis then finish the job off at Wembley.

Sutton to finish top
Plastic pitch advantage
UTP.

Dover to get the same treatment as Macclesfield.. down a couple of divisions. Hopefully they won't fold and get their ground built on. Covid is not their fault and neither is the funding situation.

the dover position needs sorting out as quick as possible to allow clubs to know the actual league position they are in. with so few games played it would be more or less impossible for them to finish this season now if they actually wanted to do. time to bury the corpse and not leave it on ice.

From the Ollie Bayliss twitter account:

"Following meetings with National League officials, a proposal for a National North & South competition will be tabled.

The combined Step 2 league would result in promotion.

It needs approval from National League clubs, the Alliance Committee (who meet Monday) & the FA Council.

Around 15-20 clubs have registered interest in taking part.

They argue it would:

Allow them to continue to trade

Ensure that the Lottery grant is not wasted

Maintain promotion."

It's not clear whether "National League clubs" means all 63 clubs in the 3 divisions voting again, or just the top division. Can't see NLN and NLS clubs who voted to void the season changing their minds as it makes a mockery of the fist vote. If it's just our division it will carry because it strengthens the case for normal promotion and relegation between EFL League 2 and the NL, and there will be 2 promotion places up for grabs anyway because Macclesfield went bust before the season started and Dover aren't fulfilling their obligation to play fixtures.

when they mention the national league they usually mean all three leagues. wish they,d be more clear on the situation as national league means our league where national leagues mean all three.

I’d assume even though the National League ‘Premier’ teams wouldn’t be playing in this new combined league it still would effect us, so our opinions would matter. I’d say if it didn’t include the clubs in our division then they would’ve said clubs in NLN/S only or words to those effect.

Sounds like Dover might be getting a reprieve and remaining in the NL for next season, if this article is right:

https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... sed-format

Even more reason for Pools to get promoted this season - a 25 club National League in 2021/22, 48 games and and about 20 away trips to the Deep South.

Whatever happens, Dover will have to have the results of the 15 games they've played this season voided - making it a 42 game season for every club.

plus a reason to increase season ticket prices due to the extra game.

I see Boreham Wood are kicking off now as they have been turned down for the winter survival loan.
What a farce.

It's good to know Sport England are doing a proper job of assessing applications. Hopefully the money will go to clubs in genuine hardship. Hard to credit that Boreham Wood's pillock of a chairman has drawn attention to this damning assessment:

"Unfortunately to be eligible for support an organisation must have a financial need by the end of March 31st 2021. The submission from the club indicates that there is no financial need as of this date - nor at the end of June 2021 (end of season) or by end of March 2022."

Well, it's not happening:
"The FA Alliance Committee has REJECTED the proposal for a Step 2 mini-league.

The Committee has supported the outcome of the original resolution vote to continue at Step 1 & make Step 2 null & void (with no promotions/relegations).

The decision will require FA Council approval."

So still no clues as to what the NL board will do about Dover!

And no doubt more chew from EFL league 2 clubs threatened with relegation into an organisation that clearly couldn't organise a stag night in a brothel.

doubt the EFL need to get advice from experts across the world on the short term dover issue. its abvious to anyone that they cannot finish the season now even if they had a change of heart. just take points and goal difference off teams that have played them and show us what the league table would look like. do it sooner than later as it could affect pools slightly.

Their results this season can't stand, that's as plain as the nose on anyone's face. My exasperation is with the time it is taking the NL board to make that official. 'Do it sooner than later'? They could have done it weeks ago, but they also need to decide which competition Dover will be playing in next season.

Spot on Mr Hogans. They need expelling - right now. The Governors at the Grammar School wouldn't have taken this long! No, we'd have had a ceremonial caning in the main hall, a ritual de-bagging and then, without any right of appeal, expulsion. And that for only thinking about not playing rugby.

even those with the reputation of bad organisation of brewery piss ups could not be dealing with this issue any worse.
