Will the new channel be a breath of fresh air, counteracting the other channels. Andrew Neil is a master of his art.

as long as it is GB News and just not another news channel thats totally absorbed in anything and everything that happens in the USA then it might be fine. at times i think some are more obsessed with the land of the free than they are with anything else you can think of.

Apparently Piers Morgan has been invited to join, so we won't be getting the news directly, we'll be getting it through his opinions and interpretations of it.
Like he said the other day, he resigned from ITV to spend more time with his opinions.
These smart arse journalists think they're being clever when they ask a question and spend the rest of the interview butting in and insulting the interviewee.
I want to hear the news reported accurately and precisely without fear nor favour and I want to hear answers to questions and not the constant interrupting barrage from journalists.
If Neil and Morgan are able to follow that line then I'll welcome the new channel but I very much doubt it.
They like the sound of their own voice too much.
Now that Morgan has demonstrated that his preferred choice when getting a taste of his own medicine is to walk off the set, will we see prominent public figures and celebrities doing the same.

Regular features will include Woke Watch and Media Watch..Neil has said"I believe the direction of news debate in Britain is increasingly woke and out of touch with the majority of its people"..I'm looking forward to it ,well done Andrew.

mind you at times the interviewee asks for all they get. ask em a question and it does not take long before anyone watching knows that they are not going to directly answer it. you must need special training to avoid answers as on the surface its easier to answer than waffle about.

even if it is its bound to be superior than box ticking ones we have already with their pre arranged agendas. can imagine there will be a great number of labour supporters who will be watching it whose bodily fluids have been boiling over the last 12 months also with whats gone on.

But more concerning is how many journalists manage to get into power - outside of writing about things and expounding on their opinions - they know little! Gove, Mrs Gove, Boris, Mrs Boris, Mr Cummings, etc...............

I thought it was bad when a degree in PPE or similar was all you needed.

Bring back the days when politicians had previously had proper jobs (the Tories) or actually wanted to do good things (Labour) - appreciate that is a sweeping statement but you can't argue with me as my health is fragile and I worry about how my children became ginger. bbolt

do not forget your mental health. bringing back local people you can vote for would help also. get sick of the choices you get that are dug up from parties central office that have never previously been to the area in question but are quick off the mark to tell us about being experts of the place.
