The good news is that they are struggling for goals with Danny Wright, who took us apart with his hat-trick in the 5-0 at the Vic, out injured for another month.

I'd settle for a 1-0 win tomorrow as a revenge mission but another draw looks more likely.

It’s certainly a must not lose game. Sutton after next Tuesday play 6 of their next 7 away. Their one home game is against Stockport. We will of played 4 out of the last 5 away having played some top teams in Eastleigh, Wrexham, Torquay and Altrincham, it’s vital we sneak a win from an away game soon.

Agree with you billinghampoolie1908. An away win is vital and must come soon. The last two seasons at Torquay have been two good wins and I'll never forget that moment when Peter Kioso hit that winner off the post. It made the journey back to Cornwall very pleasing. Will it be three wins in a row? Not so sure about that to be honest. C'mon Pools. Prove me wrong.

I think we are going to cancel each out tomorrow so will say a draw.

We have had loads of injuries later and Danny Wright experience really missed. Unfortunately our squad hasnt been good at all trying to cover for him. We have signed Boden on loan from Chesterfield so a bit of experience up front. Hopefully our main playmayer Little will be available for the game tomorrow although maybe on the bench. We may have Dean Moxey at fullback another much needed player at the back. In the live game against Halifax we lost our main centre half after 30mins. Kids were on the bench and only one sub we could use as a attacking option. he had to play left back and was hopeless.

That live game was as far away as we have been from the one with you. Also our manager wanted to win the Trophy so our best players every game. Thankfully we are out of that. we had 14 unavailable against them.

the main loss of course is you lot not having a weekend away on the lash down here. Heres hoping next time its a Football League match. was watching regularly in the old Division Four days

that could really happen. if you asked both managers to be truthful i think they,d take a point now. although looking how the sutton steam roller is still at full speed a point could end up as two points lost for either team. . just wonder if its time to be careful for both teams or reaaly go for the jugular. prefer the latter myself but will not hold my breath.

Bit of a strange one with Tom White - after all the chat a couple of days ago about his loan being extended to the end of the season there's nothing yet on the OS to say the deal has actually gone through and the Mail now rates him as 'doubtful' for the Torquay game. Suppose we'll find out when the side is announced. Luke Williams definitely won't be featuring - he's suffered yet another setback and isn't fit.

Hope Pools go for a second after the restart. Don't fancy our chances of holding onto a 1-0 lead for 45 minutes if Pools are too defensive in their approach - Torquay are good on the ball.

Pools are on the back foot at the moment. Not many minutes being spent in the Torquay half. Having gone ahead, we've not threatened them much. 40 minutes to go...

Pools must be into double figures on corners and haven't made a chance out of any of them!

It's a weakness to our game, needs sorting.

Terrific stuff. Pools were much better going forward with Oates and Molyneux both at it. Great defensive display.

The last corner of about a dozen finally created a goal chance but some of the others were shockingly bad. Time to give somebody else a chance to put them in. Any chance we can sign a dead ball specialist on loan?

Well done on the win.

Got your goal and defended well second half. crap defending from us too. Normally when we play we obviously create lots more chances Today we had to play Boden up front on his own. We are badly missing the pace of Nemane who links so well with Whitfield , Wright and Evans. he tracks back too all the time. our only fit attacking player Andrews has to play left back and is woeful so he wasnt helping out upfront. Our main centre half Cameron is now out and he is badly missed and Warren is also crocked and our keeper has made errors of late.

Obviously a long way to go yet but we both know this is the year to get back in the league. Chesterfield will be a threat now for the playoffs. Both Stockport and Notts are set up not to win although Notts have a couple of games in hand. they are in the tropphy still so maybe they will be knackered out later. Sutton are a strange lot, obviously have done well and a good national league side. will they cope with injuries or when the pressure is on.......who knows

really pleased for him getting the winner. not having the best of seasons but something he can build on now. an in form molyneux is a must for the rest of the season. on paper the rest of the month does not look too difficult where points and wins should be a possible in all the games. hope stockport are still in dissaray when we play em as anything from their place will be a real bonus. however we all know pools and their ability to put us on a downer when we are getting confident.

The number of corners we wasted on Saturday was ridiculous. The worst example was when Ferguson and Xavi were taking another short corner, two men wasted on one kick, Fergie plays it short to Xavi who moves infield before spraying his trademark sideways pass out to the left where it goes to no one and runs out for a throw-in to them.Pure genius. Why cant they just put the ball into the six yard box and have Johnson, Cass, Armstrong,Liddle and Bloomfield ready to head it home.

Another great win against a team in free fall at the minute. Big game now Tuesday win that and we will be in a terrific position after these away games.

We scored from a short corner last Tuesday evening I think they are better than just lumping it in to the box.

anyway how many goals are scored from corners anyway or the period of play up to where the defenders clear it. i do not know the stats but i imagine its far less than people think. never know why fans get so excited when their team gets one. then the other one often stated by fans is that the opposition always looks more dangerous than their team with em. same result in the end is that they do not score regularly either.

To an extent it depends on whether a team has got players who can not just win headers but direct them into the back of the net. I'm pretty sure Sean Dyche's Burnley side has scored a big proportion of its goals from headers all the time they've been in the Premier League. Pools have had them in the past but not while they've been in this level of football - though I suppose the jury's still out on whether Mason Bloomfield might be the man.

Of course, if a corner hits the first defender or sails right over the penalty box, it doesn't matter who you've got waiting in the middle.

Great win and well done Pools. Just the sort of "Brian Clough" performance and win the type you have to have if you are going up. What worries me like others on here is these wasteful corners that Pools are having of late. And agree what's the point of wasting a spare man near the taker? Sling the damn thing into the middle. Simples.

we have been through this before. the thing is that it isn,t fooling anybody but it does take at least 1 defender out of the penalty area. my main gripe is free kicks just outside the box. pools just do not seem to have a player capable of bulging the net from these positions so cutting out their options in a dangerous position.
