Another team in form, and travel up here on the back of an impressive away win at Borehamwood. They haven't a very good record at the Vic, and hopefully that will continue. They seem to have been steadily improving since we whacked them 3-1 at their place, and their young manager whose job looked under threat at the time seems to have turned things around. They have a proper strike partnership in Murphy and Quigley that is developing all the time and they are my dark horse for sneaking into the last play off place.

I reckon Liddle could be back for this one.

Pools 1 v 2 Yeovil

Bloomfield

another side that will get into pools faces and not adverse to the nasty stuff. predict a soft referee and a 2 nil defeat.

If we do get a soft referee and his performance is geared to his survival and getting himself through the game, he will get no criticism from me. I will be rational, tolerant and understanding because his needs are far more important than Pools winning. This dislike of referees has to stop and should he want to put his head into someone's face then so be it.

I just hope the face in question is a certain centre back of ours.

Team news

Donaldson returns as captain in place of Sterry who is injured. Odusina rather than Johnson makes way for Liddle. Johnson is a goal threat, but Odusina plays better alongside Liddle. Holohan escapes the axe yet again, all will no doubt be revealed.

Killip Donaldson Ferguson Cass Liddle Johnson Shelton White Holohan Oates Armstrong

Subs Bloomfield Williams Grey Crawford Odusina

Slow start from Pools but they were on top for the last 20 minutes. Now they need to pick it up where they left off.

Brilliant result - Pools turn the score around against a tough opponent - first time all season!

Well played Joe Grey. Got to get Bloomfield on earlier, we hadn't won anything against their very impressive defenders and he changed that.

We keep showing signs of a promotion team. Late goals, winning when not performing well. Is it too early to hope?

Good 5 days for Eastleigh. Beat two of the sides above them, 6 points, up to 4th in the table. And bloody Sutton haven't dropped a point since we beat them at the end of January.

Hate the way these southern teams I'd never heard of a few years ago end up being promotion contenders

Sutton last away game of the season, and at home to Dover after that if it happens.
I hope we are still in it to win it.

Huge win yesterday. Didn't see it happening after they took the lead, thought they had slowed the game down really well.

Just missing being in the ground to properly celebrate that winner.

Great result yesterday. I paid for the stream and aside from a couple of little blips, all went well. New microphones kept the background noise down. Glad to see another team on a good run taken down at the Vic. Avoid defeat at Wrexham and beat Barnet next week will make it terrific. I also watched Torquay v Halifax on BT later, really entertaining game and we'll have to be on form to beat both away next month. For now though, back on track!

played well but a draw would have been a fairer result. they diserved something out of the game that pools should have got at eastleigh. far better getting beat at eastleigh and winning yesterday than drawing both of these games which due to the run of play in both might have been nailed on.

so do i. saves frightening the dogs, smashing a cup on the floor and hearing the understatement of whats up have they scored in my left lughole. there has not been many times over the last few years when we could celebrate a late winner. that was left for the handful of away fans that hired the club tandams.

Just watched the post match interview with DC. He is pleased and full of praise for young Joe and quite right too.

true. not bad for a 17 year old sub. scored the only goal on tuesday and makes the winner yesterday. glad more for yesterday as one of the commentators mentioned he was not getting into the game. more than bloody donaldson was.

Great result...but how many would have missed the winner, because they have left...not due to other commitments. ( in the times of a crowd) even DC mentioned it.

Something I have never understood that, when games are so close??

The lad has a lot of potential, hope he stays with us for a while, depending what division we're in. He shows good insight and can read the game, he can only get better in my opinion.

Huge credit to Killip for that excellent save, pretty much at point blank range, in the first half

agree. however in some ways i hope DC takes him out of the side for awhile as i fear their could be more vultures than seagulls over the vic trying to pick him up for half a bag of peanuts.

I was thinking the same Mr Accy. I wonder what his current terms are.

I didn’t watch the game but listened to a bit of it. Left early and missed the winner lol. Looking at the highlights Donaldson seemed like he made a contribution. Nice to see Grey set one up for Holohan. Shames Oates didn’t out that header away. And as someone else said, good save from the keeper. Great to see the squad keep going to the end of the game.

think the last 10 minutes of games are the most important so that was nice to see. so often over the recent years have pools run out of steam and ideas in this period where points were dropped on a regular basis. it certainly seems that DC has sorted this problem out.
