Last season, in what was Craig Hignett's final game, Stockport beat Pools at Edgeley Park. After the match (which was on the oh so Pools loving BT sport) Jim Gannon basically wanked himself off on how they're a part time outfit and Pools are full time.

Now Stockport have gone full time it appears they cannot cut the mustard, oh diddums.

So can someone speculate of why he was sacked please.

Good guess , but accused though? can you be sacked for that? you would've thought suspended not sacked if that was the case, but we live in crazy times.

think you could be right there. met him a few times and seems a bit different from a lot of people in the game. quite liked the guy myself but i can imagine he,s not everyones cup of tea especially his sense of humour.

The best story about him, in my opinion, is he went through a spell of not accepting interviews from Sky Sports - because they never fixed his faulty Skybox.
