We keep promising to really turn someone over, this is our best chance. Then again it could be a case of after the Lord Mayors show. If you want to finish in top 3 , these are the bread and butter games you should be winning , Wealdstone are in a mid table position, and that is probably going to be as good as it gets for them, a defeat would be very disappointing indeed.

1-0

Considering it looks like the game will go ahead (seems I forgot Pools actually have groundsmen who do their job, a rare novelty in modern day football)...

Proper strikers finish. How bad are they? I could drive a double decker bus through their midfield.

Streaming for me is dreadful, keeps sticking and at least 3 mins behind.

Should be putting 5 or 6 past these, they are nearly as poor as Brandon. Hopefully this livestream will have finished by time we play Halifax on Tuesday.

Happy with the 3 points but gifting possession away far too cheaply.

Got to give a bit of credit to Wealdstone - they are obviously a lot better going forward than defending. But Odusina and Magloire could do with watching some old footage of Pools defending in the 70s and 80s. It wasn't pretty but if in doubt, boot it onto Victoria Road was a great way of relieving pressure.

Magloire can use his pace to make amends for some of his mistakes but Odusina is just an accident waiting to happen at times.

Grateful for the win. Players brought on to be given a chance when we were 3 up. Service to Bloomfield was dire to be fair, Williams and Molyneux didnt show a lot, but no worries, 3 points, well done.

Nothing wrong with three points but that defence of ours is dodgy. Our passing was really poor in the second half. At 0-3 Wealdstone threw caution to the wind and could have got a point. We have to stop giving the ball away in dangerous areas. Good to see Ferguson back.
Holohan has lost his goalscoring touch and needs to find it pronto. Maybe Williams can take the role but how many times have we hoped for that.

Agree,we lost all shape when Armstrong and Gav went off.
Gav didn't have his shooting boots on,but was causing them all sorts of problems.
Bloomfield was ok,but Williams was invisible & the midfield was starting to get overrun.

Their goal by Mendy was a cracker, that's his 4th of the season, from a player who was part of the Atletico Madrid youth system and has turned down a move to Barnet recently.

That was certainly a turnaround. Glad we got so far ahead but really that was a chance to improve the goal difference and make up for the Torquay drubbing.I know, complaining about a win..
We looked like a team holding on at the end which is a credit to Wealdstone. Streaming service was good for me today, hopefully same again next match.

We shouldn’t really be having to hold on when 3 nil up after dominating for so long, old failings of the midfield getting overrun once again, that’s happened for years. Saying that though isn’t that the first time we have strung 4 wins in a row in the conference? A fantastic turnaround considering we looked like a team on the slide a month back. Must defend better against Halifax or we will get beat, hopefully second half was just a wake up call we needed. We have been crying out all season for a striker, looks like we have found him, even Oates starting to put them in now. Win Tuesday and the pressure will really get cranked up on Torquay.

Anutha great result.
And a big well done to the club for getting the pitch playable in the Arctic weather.
Notice a lot of the team's just below us are playing each other in the next few weeks.
3 points at Halifax on Tuesday would be awesome.
Not getting carried away but surely we can extend our season into June.

I am allowed to be disappointed after a 3-1 home win?. I said further up, this was our best chance to really hammer a team, and yet again we blew it, and because of that nearly blew the game. Wealdstone should've been raked yesterday, but in the end we made hard work of it.

Still a win is all that matters, the more points on the board, makes others having games in hand more irrelevant, especially in a division were few seem capable of stringing a few wins together. No doubt one team will come storming through and we may drop to 3rd or 4th , but unlikely to drop out of play off places, as was first thought.

It seems this division is made up of 12 poor teams and 11 not so good, I suppose as long as we continue to beat the 12 poor teams, we should make the play offs. How we do against some of the not so good, will be the difference between finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd, and if we are to finish in the play offs, we really do need the advantage of finishing in 2nd or 3rd place.

Star performer for me, was Ferguson, back to his best. Shelton not far behind, with Featherstone his usual steady 6 going on 7 out of 10. Killip continues to muddle through, good to see more goals for Armstrong and Oates, a good team always has its strikers getting the lions share of the goals, and thought Williams did well when he came on, on reflection this would've been the ideal game for him to have started, and It about time he did start, hopefully on Tuesday at Halifax, in place of Holohan, who has now taken over the mantle of worst finisher at the club from Rhys Oates, and generally has offered little of late, even during this good run. Would also like to see Bloomfield alongside Armstrong, when he comes on as sub.

Out of interest, this is what I would've done.

Crawford for Holohan 46

Bloomfield for Oates 67

I'm happy to leave the team selection to Dave Challinor, especially while Pools keep winning. He's shown a ruthless streak whenever an individual player's standards slip. Shelton's form is unrecognisable now from what it was at the start of the season, and former captain Donaldson is firmly benched.

Be interesting to see what comings and goings there are in the next couple of weeks. Hope Sterry commits to commits to staying with Pools to the end of the season at least - great little interview with him on the OS, he has a winner's mentality. Personally I'd keep Magloire to the end of the season too if it's an option - he makes mistakes (so did Toto Nsiala) but is obviously going to be a quality player and his pace is a godsend to any defence. Think Ofosu, MacDonald and maybe Joe Grey will be going out on loan if anyone comes in for them - they are going to get next to no football otherwise as things stand.

Amazing what playing a settled side and 2 up front can achieve....

Magloire will be a big miss, if and when his loan expires, and without him, Odusina without Liddle alongside him, will be further exposed, and lets hope Salford don't feel the need to recall Armstrong. Not sure about Sterry, need to see a bit more of him , and while I'm disappointed Grey hasn't been given a real chance to prove himself, it looks as though he isn't going to break into the first eleven, therefore he should go out on loan, otherwise he will stagnate, to another NL club though, not league below.

agree on all points. the only downside was the last 20 minutes or so which started before the subs coming on. this sitting back on leads is something the majority of clubs do nowadays and it boils my piss. play the game in the opposition half and they,ll rarely score. start sitting back and you are inviting trouble.
