Armstrong reminds me of Joe Allon in and around the 6 yard box, similar sort of gait/movement/running style as well

If Armstrong gets anywhere near the amounts of goals scored in his prime we might end up having a much better season than current indications suggest. He's already showed that if the rest of the team puts the ball in the right areas he will score. Proper goal poacher in the 6 yard box.

Nice finish from Johnson too. I can't remember the last time a Pools centre back scored 3 in a season, never mind before Christmas!

Joe Allon was class in and around the 6 yard box.
Quality service from Dalton n Honour played a major part in his goals. Plus he was hard as fcuk.
Ye I know what u mean about the right balls going into that area.
Hopefully Armstrong can continue his form with a little help from his teammates could be the difference of that play off dream which has come n gone a few times already this season.
UTP.

Defo sending off Armstrongs head wasn't that low, could have been a nasty injury that.

At first sight it looked like he booted Armstrong in the head but seeing the replay it didn't look to bad, ref only gets one look of course!

Only problem is, he could do with a Paul Baker alongside him. I think he will get goals, but at a rate more like Joe Allon before Cyril , than after. Whatever rate he scores at , Joe before Cyril or Joe after Cyril, it will only mean we won't be able to keep him here permanently banghead

I think he did, but It looked as though it was by accident rather than anything malicious. That would mean a yellow if I had been the ref.
