Is he still at the club? who is he? has anyone heard him speak? what does he look like?

Just wondering if he is bending DC's ear and leading him down the wrong path.

Ofusu came on yesterday and was booked almost straightaway. I can imagine someone like Parkinson telling him to get on and rough them up , and Ofusu like someone on the autistic spectrum took it literally and immediately man handles their player for no good reason.

Also why the fook to Ferguson and Featherstone both stand over free kicks? Fooks sake , just one of you take it, shoot or put in a cross, whilst the other one takes up a position on the edge of the box , waiting for any rebound or the ball coming back out, basic stuff this.

Why can't DC delegate post match interviews to his backroom staff? admire him facing up to the press after games, but doing interviews when stressed, angry and agitated isn't wise, a lot of what he said after the game, whilst 100% correct, will only cause dressing room unrest. In situations like this he should get Sweens or Parkinson to do the interviews.

He could clearly be seen sitting on the bench yesterday. Perhaps he should have been standing, firing pelters at the players

That sounds like the sort of bloke I am imagining. These players won't respond to that.

Challinor should have sent out one the players to face the camera's.
I'd like to hear what they had to say for themselves.

Assistant managers do generally take a back seat in public, i dont ever remember assistants doing pre match interviews or post match ones, maybe mike phelan at man united when fergie was peeved at the bbc.

We lost yesterday, it was bad, but we cant point fingers at the assistant manager without any genuine evidence to back it up.

You said you've never heard from parkinson, but then said you think he's the type to get in ofuso's ear, how do you come up with that assumption if you've never heard from him?

Look, if Trump doesn’t need evidence then neither does Horden.
You should already know that.

I know assistant managers generally take a back seat, that's generally comes with being an assistant. I also said I imagined him saying to Ofuso, go and and rough them up, so it wasn't an assumption. Just because assistant managers don't usually do interviews, doesn't say we cant do it , why can't we lead the way for a change ? it might catch on, with other clubs following the lead of little old Hartlepool. The reason I suggested interviews could sometimes be delegated to back room staff , was to avoid the embarrassment of yesterdays interview , where things were said that should've been kept in the dressing room , and could lead to unrest. Why can't I suggest Parkinson might have something to do with it? its a message board, lets hear why you think things went wrong.

A very poor attempt at trying to be clever Phil, you must do better.

You should also know as well, that I have an uncanny knack of calling it right , with the evidence following later.

The last thing i would want to do is try and be clever, i'd fail.

I was just pointing out your argument was a bit flawed. I have no problem with parkinson, dont know what he does, should he do interviews? I dunno. If it would help us win games then i'd get the tea lady to do interviews.

Though i imagine we let her go n just replaced her with a machine on a volunteer basis.

Is it not a requirement for the manager to do interviews? Granted we are not Premier League and it is many years later but I’m sure I read that every time Ferguson refused to provide an interview for BBC they actually got a fine for it. I might’ve imagined all that though....

The Tea Lady got replaced by a Vending Machine.
Part of our Champions League winners goalkeeping coach's job description to get the drinks in for the lads when they return from a gruelling training session on Crimdon beach.

Just couldn't understand why you would try and defend Parkinson. I was only trying to get to the bottom of why we are performing so badly. It wasn't really an argument, so can't see how it could be flawed, I was merely putting it out into the open for discussion. What we do know is Parkinson was giving the players pelters, probably the same bloke who Radio Tees continually have to apologise for , for using bad language during their commentary of games. In my experience these types of blokes/bullies know very little about the finer points of the game, and it could possibly be his input is contributing to our poor season, its just a thought. The interview thing was just about us being savvy, something we often talk about on here about the club not being savvy enough.

In the absence of anyone else coming up with any ideas or solutions I really don't see what the problem was.

i,d actually prefer the interview being done at least a day after the game anyway. its far too raw an experiance to talk about stuff as quickly as the post match stuff. saturday was still shit now on monday morning but some games having slept on it were not as bad as you first thought.

I sit close to the dug outs and would say that 90% of managers are guilty of swearing out at the players. The worst by a long way is that foul mouthed little Scot. John Sheridan. Challinor is no angel either but to be honest Parkinson is quite quiet.
Regarding after match interviews it appears the norm for managers to do them and that’s what supporters want if not they would probably say he was hiding.

nothing could get worse than the other scott the morbedly obese Steve Evans and his equally gobby assistant who are presently at gillingham. even opposition fans are not excluded from his foul mouths rants and giving the V to fans.
