Fantastic Golf commentator has passed away aged 89, was only listening to him commentating on the recent delayed Masters. Will be missed for his wit and honesty.

R.I.P.Peter.

RIP

Decent age , sports commentating seems like the job to be in if you want to live a reasonably long life. I imagine its as far removed from real work as you can get , especially back in the day.

Me too - had no idea that he was that age. Never played golf but watch the big tournaments and the Ryder Cup. Peter and Butch chatting away is about as knowledgeable as sports commentary gets. RIP.

not a golf fan or watcher but he had something a lot of commentators have tried but never became. the voice of their sport.
