Strange to sign a player , then loan him out so soon. Was said to have played well v Man U in Carabao Cup recently , bizarre.

I think he’ll be able to take care of Luke James when they play Barrow. Actually, he’ll play against quite a few ex Poolies, mostly from the squad that were relegated. Good luck at Bolton.

He got an assist with an excellent cross according to BBC sport.

Peter's got his first goal for Bolton at Barrow. Luke James on the bench for them - again.

Funny how Barrow are still looking for their first win of the season after 7 games yet Harrogate are flying. Notice Southend are really struggling at the bottom of LG.2, 16 goals conceded so far this season.

know its early days but i think southend are doomed and actually finishing the season may be a big ask for them. they were in a financial mire before the present situation.

Southend do have that death pallor look about them. Like us and many others before , a gradual deterioration over a 5-10 year period, from League 1 to National League. Expect Rochdale , Scunthorpe and Gillingham to do similar in next year or three.

Scunny have already caught the plague, whereas the other two seem to be able to pull the odd result out of the bag, I see these teams too and a gradual demise.

however tochdale have ever managed to keep where they are is beyond me. have had as many financial woes as pools but always manage to ride the storm. when a club is thought of as a joke club by halifax fans then there must be a problem. at least pools never got as low as that.

Surprised me as well, I thought they wouldve been back in league 2 by now, but like us before them, they are clinging on season after season. Eventually they will crack, go down, and then maybe struggle for a season in league 2 , all the while their financial situation deteriorates , before eventually losing their league status.

Who complained when we let Rodney go?

Kabamba scored a pen for Kilmarnock on Saturday and was named MOM on BBC Sport. The only one of last season's KKK (oops ) missing out is Aidan Keena - but he's been injured since the middle of last month.

Hoping against hope there were sell on clauses for the other two.

Probably no one, I don't think I did. He was erratic at the time and although obviously older and wiser and better now, I still think he is probably erratic. I wouldn't have him back, even though he is better than what we currently have. It is a worry though how as a club we seem to knock all life out of players we sign, whilst other clubs seem to be able to get more out of them.

cannot remeber, but there wasn,t many who wanted him back when we may have got him. do not get that exited about any ex player coming back but for me if the choice was oates or rodney it certainly would not be the former.
