For people who couldn't watch it live there's nearly 20 minutes worth of BT action and commentary on the OS now.

Can't call them highlights as defensively it's a complete horror show. I'm not sure Pools even started the game with 4 fit defenders as the more I watch Ferguson the more I think he's a winger masquerading as a full back. Can't fault his forward play but Challinor has got to play 3 centre backs with him in the side.

Don,t know how he manages to get forward with Donaldson on the wrong side of the pitch.
I know why Donaldson is on the wrong side but it doesn,t work does it.

He is a full back  a left back in the Rob Mckinnon mould. We need to play 442

Rob McKinnon was a big, strong, tough tackling defender who was great at getting forward. Ferguson is a wing back at best. Now that the highlights are on the OS anyone who wants to can look at Torquay's 5 goals and other attacks and see what Ferguson is doing. When Torquay attack down the right, there's nearly always a white shirt in behind him - it was the same even in the Ilkeston cup tie, as both myself and Mr. Stanley pointed out. As for that third goal - never saw Rob McKinnon gift the opposition like that

Ferguson has been our best player this season, what are you on about ? He had an off day, Torquay did their homework and subsequently did a job on us, it happens, and it did when Mckinnon played for us as well. Odusina going off didnt help matters, with the two full backs having to assume a centre back role, something they wouldnt have been comfortable with. I like Ferguson , but he maybe needs to reign his runs down the flank in a bit, and concentrate more on defensive duties. Play Molyneux and Donaldson/Holohan or even Grey on the wings in a 442 and Ferguson wouldnt be required to bomb forward as much. We havent got 3 fit centre backs anyway, thanks to making the same mistake yet again, of signing an ageing centre back who will miss more games than he plays.
