Good to see them sticking to the rules and only letting six in.

There looked to be more than 400 in the terrace behind the goal.

No masks, no social distancing , and obviously people from different households etc stood together. This is what I have experienced at Northern League games so far, albeit even less people in , so more space , but its this ambivalence towards the rules , that I feel is why crowds arent being allowed in at higher levels. Do you honestly think the rules would be observed at Pools? I don't.

That is the theory, but as we saw at ilkeston, theory goes out of the window in real life. People dont follow the guidance in supermarkets either, but I suppose people have to eat, whereas watching football isn't that important. Football fans are their own worst enemy Im afraid , too much of a macho environment for the guidelines to work, some fans and clubs worse than others, I would guess we would be one of the worst.

When I was watching the game I said to MrsDno, let's hope the Hartlepool team don't all come down with Covid, think our keeper will be lucky not to get it.

best or worst does not matter. the fact is that millions only follow the gov. guidelines to save em getting shit from others. they do not believe em but believe alternative methods of controlling the virus. the great barrington report for one. if i,d have been at ilkeston i,d have been quite happy to stand with fellow poolies and not be a socially distanced billy no mates. at 74 in a few weeks time i,m in the so called danger list but i,m in that anyway with other diseases that are still available.

And that's exactly what I'm getting at.

They huddle together at those games and then blame Boris for making them get Covid.

Worst was that the crowd were throwing the ball to players when it went out of play. No spare "clean" balls on the touchline.
