It’s on the Chesterfield website.

I’ve paid and logged in but disturbingly it hasn’t gone live at 7:30.

Is anyone else seeing any video stream?

To The Hartlepool 2-1! That Cass is some player and Pools kept their shape and looked good. Glad Ben K recovered from that foot in from Bodin. That's all you have to do Pools. Keep this up for the next 30 games in a row and...

Great to follow up a home win with one away. Sounded like a terrible game on the radio, Chesterfield don't seem to have changed one iota since last season, garbage. Not getting carried away as we have played two very poor sides, but an away win is an away win, regardless of the opposition. I thought when Liddle went off that was it, but the new lad seemed to cope okay. Obviously concerned about Liddle injury, that was the reason I didn't want us to sign a 34-year-old, is it the first of many?.

One thing I will say about Pools is they have a great spirit and discipline in the camp, with Featherstone and Donaldson at the heart of it. I can't remember the last time we rolled over, went a goal behind, caved in and ended up getting hammered , with a sending off or two thrown in for good measure. Bromley a couple of years ago was probably the last time the team threw the towel in.

funny how teams change their managers and players over the years but always end up like they always have been. chesterfield are the same now as they were in the 50,s when i started watching. think last time pools threw the towel in was at harrogate last season where i think they were beaten before they started in their minds.

Forgot to mention Harrogate, other than that though. Its one of the few bright spots, our never say die attitude, apparent even under Hignett and Bates, but even more so under DC. Like Aldershot on Saturday, Chesterfield are becoming a club we generally do well against. We have won our last 3 against Maidenhead as well

Another encouraging thing about the start of the season has been having decent referees for both games. The ref against Aldershot didn't have too much to do as both sides were trying to play football most of the time but he controlled the game well.

I only managed to see the first half at Chesterfield for my tenner but from the kick off their defenders were fouling at every opportunity and mostly getting away with it. The young lads Ofusu and Bloomfield looked particularly unsettled, but when Bloomfield was cleaned out from behind by Evans the ref obviously decided he'd had enough and took proper control of the game. 2 yellows and a red is the least they deserved.

Decent refs all season is the last thing Pools can count on, so they're going to have to show a lot more mental fortitude, especially when playing in the Deep South - which is most of the time!

Decent refs all season is the last thing Pools can count on,
unless they are top or near the top of the league that is. when was the last time someone near the bottom get the breaks with refs on 50/50 decisions in any league.

Never can get this refs are poor mullarkey , just excuses as far as I am concerned. Our players need to toughen up if they are going to get out of this league,

You're either the ones doing the kicking or you get kicked, simple as that.

If you'd rather watch players kicking each other that's your business, but the game moved on decades ago. Even at National League level the best footballing sides get promoted, not the dirtiest. There have been some abysmally incompetent refs at the Vic over the last 3 seasons, and when one like that is in charge good football goes out of the window and the fans' enjoyment along with it.

I disagree. The teams who get promoted are generally the best footballing sides, but also the ones that can look after themselves. All our promoted sides could dish it out. Playing total football alone , unless you are exceptional, and we are not, will not alone get you out of this division. Sick of people using the refs as scapegoats for our shortcomings on the field , both in a football and physical sense,

Each to their own, but you might want to tippy tappy non contact football, but I like to watch a bit of football with a bit of contact thrown in , the day there is no contact , is the day I stop watching the game.

Nothing wrong with contact as long as the rules of the game are applied properly. As Dave Challinor keeps saying, the NL is men's football, which is why academy kids from U-23 teams often struggle when they come out on loan. Challinor's side is bigger, stronger and fitter than the ones put out by Harrison, Bates and Hignett. They also play decent football. What's not to like?

lots of fans remember when this and that team gets promoted they score X number of goals and have hammered one team or another. they forget to remember a few of that side who always came out top in 50/50 challenges and didn,t have a treatment room like A and E on a saturday night. the days have long gone since players took a lump out of opponents but being strong and fully fit is still part of the game. that extra willingness to get too a loose ball and coming out of your own personal challenge with your opponent on top makes the difference in promotion or not. everything just isn,t about goal scorers and pretty football.

There is a lot to like, but bigger , fitter, stronger doesnt always mean tougher. Some of these young kids today are as soft as clarts, despite their imposing looks physically. Not advocating going in two footed but should be able to ride a tackle when neccesary.

pools are a good club that proves the thing about big lads being as soft as clarts. we have had plenty of these and smaller really tough lads who you,d want with you if you were in trouble in a boozer.

The game has changed, but not as much as some would have you believe. I often used that bar room brawl analogy in the past and its still pertinent today I think , when I look at the teams, I think which team would I want with me, if I had mistakenly went into a pub with a flat roof

Another one is would you want a certain player to go out with your daughter, ideally no, but over the years quite a few of our players would've made decent son in laws , too nice by half. At this level rather have a cocky arrogant twat who I wouldnt want to share the same air with , but who will get 25 goals a season and help us get our first ever league title

funny thing about these bad refs. i see more non pools games than most and those who seem to have had nightmares in pools games do not seem as bad when you are more or less a neutral at a game. think the majority or all fans have blue tinted specs on at the vic. if you hadn,t there would not be much point in supporting pools.
