The Corner Flag is open every Friday night. In line with the latest government regulations starting this Friday the club will open at 6pm and close at 10pm. Renewals and new membership can be taken during these hours. It would be helpful if members would renew ASAP .
Younger supporters might not know that the Supporters Association was formed nearly 40 years ago and their headquarters , the Corner Flag Club, was opened in 1992. Over the years the S.A have built up a reputation for honesty and integrity. It has a constitution approved by the members, a properly elected committee , a bank account requiring 2 or more signatures, an AGM when the balance sheet , audited by accountants, is presented to the members and has excellent relations with local suppliers and tradespeople. In addition every year since their formation the S.A has provided material help to H.U.F.C
Since the S.A. was constituted a number of other groups have been formed wanting to help H.U.F.C but they have generally disappeared as quickly as they have arrived. If you want to help H.U.F.C then join the S.A. You will be made very welcome.
I hope I haven’t bored you with this piece but sometimes things need to be said as a reminder.

Why not allow membership to be applied for online?

That’s a good suggestion and I will pass it on to the membership secretary. By joining at the C. F. prospective members can see what the club has to offer in the way of facilities. Many supporters have never been in the C.F which is a pity, because it was built by supporters for the supporters. It also holds numerous items of Pools memorabilia which have been collected over the years.

that would be ideal for exiles who only visit the town on odd occasions and see half a dozen or so games a season. we can then contribute to the cause.

I'm regularly in the C.F. on a match-day just usually forget about signing up for a membership until I see one of these posts!

Can membership of the CFE be done online too?
