Good to get another striker in.

Pools playing at Morpeth tomorrow and Blyth Spartans on Saturday. Blyth 'aim' to put that on a live stream for their fans. 3 o'clock kick off - will be having a look at the Blyth Live section of their website to see if it's on and free.

With all the new signings recently, Pools are getting through quite a few scarves from the shop.

Good to see another one aboard for the season. Welcome to Pools and hoping he has a stellar season.

By my reckoning to date we only have one recognised full back (Ferguson) signed on. I would also like to see another central defender to cover injuries as I am not a fan of Cunningham. Whilst Anderson was not everybody’s favourite he was ok as cover but he’s history now.

Generally the case with triallists. They are in last chance saloon, like doing shopping late at night, all the best fruit and veg has gone and whats left has been picked up and put down all day, occasionally you might come across something that looks okay and hasnt been damaged , generally though unlikely

The standard of footballers nowadays is piss poor below the premier League.
Wasent like that 20 years ago.
Watched the 2nd half of Wycombe v Rotherham yestday.
No different to the game I watched at grayfields last week.
Probably why these clubs who REALY want it can smash there way up the football pyramid with ease.
Fleetwood
AFC Wimbledon
Wycombe haha
Salford
Harrogate etc.
Oh I forgot they all owned by trillion Aires.

think we have all said that at one time or another. think its more about the focus of having a strong team that play to a certain pattern than having the odd individual in sides who shine above the rest. tactics win over individual brilliance with no club having someone where you thought years ago that we wish we had him in our side. every side you see look like the others. how many play the same way. really the only difference between ebbsfleet and eastleigh is their name. same in every other league below the top.

think we have all said this at one time or another. think its more to do with clubs not having stand out individuals in their sides nowadays. its all about teamwork and tactics than real individual brilliance. clubs see a certain way to play that has been successful and most copy that way. there is not much difference between eastleigh and ebbsfleet apart from their names. same throught the leagues below the top. its hardly good for fans as each game seems a much of a muchness which in the end gets you in a mindset that a good game is only one you win.

Some of the tactics these days are horrendous.

Corner kicks were 5/6 attacking players are not spaced out welded to each otha.
How many times does it hit the first defender or clears all the attacking players goin out for a throw in or a goal kick.

Then these so called wonder goal freekicks which don't have the fullbacks on the posts.
Not many of these freekicks are gunna go above the fullbacks heads and under the bar.
Then hardly any proper wingers who can take defenders on n put decent crosses into the box.
Wingbacks who put the crosses in to early directly at the keeper.

Ye the modern day tactics make the game boring n the players look not as good as years ago.

UTP.
