Joined York City - to replace David Ferguson.

Yesterday Dominic Scurr in the Mail was still doing his own football rumours bit about Barrow possibly joining Pools, just like he did last season when he left Gateshead. Probably do it next season and all - HUFC version of hearing the first cuckoo of spring.

Even if we hadn't signed Ferguson, I wouldn't sign Barrow. He's turned us down twice and I wouldn't give him a third chance. Same with Tinkler who has also turned us down twice before.

I would say the same , for the reason that you want to sign a player at their best. If they have turned you down a couple of times before , it could be that you end up signing a player past their best. i have said before on here, that I do think that Gateshead team of 2 or 3 years ago, played well as a unit, but on their own they are not that good as individuals , the recent form of Barrow , Tinkler , Burrow seems to bare that out, steady but not spectacular. For that reason at the time I suggested we should've signed 3 of them rather than a single player , we signed bloody Paddy McLaughlin who was largely useless for us.

i would like us to make a move for the keeper they have had on loan from Boro , Brad James though

thay is what pools should be aiming to be like. always thought barrow, even with rooney in the side, were like that as well as macclesfield a couple of so years ago. pools have managed to sign a few stand out players whose efforts have been diluted by really poor ones.
