TBF, saves the disappointment in a few weeks time. We'd either struggle in the Group stages, then get knocked out, or breeze through the Group, get our hopes up, then get beat off the Faroe Isles on penalties in the 1/4 finals. My glass is 1/2 full.

Well you can enjoy Euro 96 game with the Netherlands, its on at 1500 Saturday BBC 1. Watched the 2016 game between Hungry and Portugal a very good game. It's on the I player as well along with the games they have shown so far.

mind you it does stop the media bigging up all the players as the best squad since 1966 then quickly putting the knife in as quickly. no pictures of raheem sterling missing training and having a choc ice sitting on a deck chair.

With the cancellation of Ladies tennis week down here it's been a lot easier to park near the town centre.
