Really good listen. Enjoyed how candid he was. Added to and dispelled a few stories from over the years.

Enjoyed it what an eye opener that was and we always knew it was a dodgy penalty.

Excellent, insightful although he did skip over the JPNG thing.

Was watching these in chronological order but couldn't help jump forward to the one with Joel (superb!) and then the most recent with Ken Hodcroft. Really interesting to hear his take on things and for him to speak quite openly about his time at the club.
Big kudos to those behind the podcasts as everyone of them so far, for numerous reasons, have been excellent

I thought it was a very interesting watch. Shows what can be achieved buy applying some simple business principles and then sticking to them (and a bit of cash). Demonstrated why managers should not have an agreed budget for the season. Simply make the case for a new player.

I dont know who they have got lined up for future podcasts but it would be good to here Russ Green reflect on his time at the club. Also i think as Andy Monkhouse was here a long time he would have some interesting stories to share.

Judging by the fact he seems to have had a mention in most, if not all, the previous podcasts, Mark Tinkler would be a good addition to the guest list.

Interesting to note both Porter and Hodcroft regretted their decision to walk away from Hartlepool more so Porter, he did indicate he would like to return one day.

It wasn't the penalty that killed us - with 11 v 11 on the pitch it'd still have been game on. Westwood getting a red card was what did it. It was daft of Westie to have his hand on the player's back; never a push but the ref was always going to give the big team the benefit of the doubt. You don't need a conspiracy theory to know that.

Chairman Hod came over really well - made me laugh to think of the grief and conspiracy theories he used to get from quite a few now departed Bunkerites. I was really struck by his insistence that if Pools had gone up there'd have been enough support from IOR to keep us there. I always assumed we'd have one season in the big league at best.

Mulwinney (was it) top man in FL saying at the pre match meal 'it will be great to have the Wendies back in the championship' disgusting and says it all really about the attitude to Pools. Would like to meet him one day and discuss.

Hodcroft never said how good the HUFC fans where.
And blamed the oil price and took him 14 years to blame the referee and conspiracy theorys.
We could of been the next Blackpool.

its not being wise after the event, but i imagine there would be plenty of others on the day who were waiting for some shit to happen against pools. it may be 11 v 11 on paper but that is where it ends.

You're obviously not 'boycotting' the Bunker very effectively, and unless you happen to be in your late 60s like me I've been a 'true fan' of Pools since before you were in short trousers.

If there's another forum (other than the facebook page, obviously) where us true fans of the football club can discuss all things relevant to HUFC let me know - I'll be happy to check it out.

Ah, true fans. Grow up. Lefties come and go. Message boards are cyclical and this one has been going for 15 years.

Ah....another one who is desperate to see the bunker shut down and desperate for martyrdom. You don't get a badge for being banned and nobody is forcing you to post but you'll never go away, simply because you can't go away. You will visit often and regular, just like the others who want the bunker to die. Not gonna happen my friend. This forum has a bigger following than the Hartlepool mail. clappp

Ah, Brother Love and his Travelling Salvation Show is here to show us the error of our ways in a convoluted garrotting of the English language....I could have eaten alphabet soup and shit a better post.
What are you on about. If you’re not happy, find an alternative, but don’t hang about here like some geriatric stage door Johnny waiting for the call that will never come.
